    Good morning everyone,
It's more like garden sitting weather here today. DS1 is coming down and I do hope we manage to have lunch in the garden.
After lunch the boys are heading to see their Dad and I'm hoping to get some more planting done.
Washing machine is on load three - I think it must be breeding in the laundry basket!
BLT or sausage wrap for lunch and an easy one tonight of chicken Kyiv, corn, potatoes of some description and peas.

Lovely weather today, two loads of washing dried and some gardening done until my hip objected and I started itching  :# but I had nearly filled the garden bin by then  :)

A late lunch after I finished of cheese, crackers and an apple before going around my sister to see my nephew, his OH and the baby  👶 for such a small thing she can express wind like a adult and not just burping  😁 my nephew's OH asked to see my nephew's baby photos and also had a tour of our family, she only glazed over a little 😁 there are a lot of us. I had forgot how dark my hair was

For dinner I had taken a pot of curry paste from the freezer and put some over a chicken before roasting and the rest over some cauliflower and onion before adding to the oven and had with new potatoes, runner beans and LO kale. Chicken will be appearing for the next few days

  • Frustrating morning involving non-delivery of an item so had to source a replacement. Still trying to arrange a refund for the missing one 😠

Few other errands run and then spent most of the afternoon on techy admin.

Bacon sarnie and cherry tomatoes for lunch. Mushroom stroganoff, noodles and broccoli tonight.

Sun’s out and quite warm which is good because I’m off out to lunch with son & family, not sure where we are going, these days I just trot along like a good boy and not as grumpy dad.

I suspect it will be a garden centre, which is good & bad, good ‘cos that’s where the farm shop is and I can get some decent meat if there is any. Bad ‘cos the eating areas are bound to be crowded on a sunny Sunday lunchtime and grumpy dad may appear

Food is therefore TBD, but evening food if all fails maybe open tin of salmon, I seem to have breeding tins of those like your laundry Caron, with some salad & new spuds

    Good morning everyone,
Sunny and blowy here today, more laundry has been done and pegged out. The basket is (no doubt temporarily) empty!
I might be a bit hit or miss posting this week. DS2 is on leave and we are starting the next phase of DIY - replacing the kitchen plumbing and re-siting a badly placed drain. My role will be strictly supervisory. ;)
I've defrosted a slab of sous vide cooked brisket so we'll probably bbq later. I had meant to buy some Ayrshire tatties yesterday but got side tracked by DS1 coming for lunch. LO chicken Kyiv with salad for lunch.

I hope you enjoyed your lunch Farway and didn't need to do a victor Meldrew 🙂

Hopefully the week won't be too disruptive Caronc:disappointed:

Another nice day until a heavy hail storm at 6.30pm, definitely made his lordship shoot through the catflap  :D

I sorted my wardrobes and bedroom cupboards in my bedroom and the spare room this morning, some Tee shirts were popped through a rinse cycle to freshen up, I'm optimistic they will be needed soon 🙂 and a bag for life has been filled for charity.  I seem to have a collection of old duvet covers various colours which I must check to see if they are charity shop worthy 🤔

lunch was cheese on toast with a dollop of pickle. Dinner nice and easy cold chicken, LO new potatoes made into chips and some vegetable slaw. Slight mishap as the bottom of the pepper grinder came away in my hands and peppercorns everywhere including in the slaw, I got most out but still had a couple of bites where I crunched down on a peppercorn 😬 I fear I shall be finding them for days

  • Quite a nice day here, definitely better than forecast this morning. Got the bed stripped and a load out on the line before I went for a swim.

Nice salady lunch - prosciutto and boiled egg with bread and butter alongside the greenery and tomatoes. Sat down afterwards and got sucked into the tennis. Never found the enthusiasm for the planned fence painting but have done some ironing and food prep plus a lot more tennis watching 🙃

Made the creamy chicken, leek and cannellini bean traybake tonight. Served with mange tout and more fresh bread for dunking. LO portion in the freezer of course.

Back again, Brambling your rain seems to have missed me, so I was out watering the front pots this morning, and now of course it’s black as night and looking very much like rain any minute

Yesterday lunch with son & family went well and V Meldrew phase was avoided. In keeping with the times I had Baked spud with coronation chicken filling + bit of poncey side salad, very nice and IMO ideal food by not having to cook or prepare it yourself

Now back to the real CFO world I have to decide on today’s food, lunch tinned salmon sarnie because I opened one of my horde last night

Dinner, have to use up the very last of the cold roast turkey joint from Marks, probably with HM AF chips and non poncey side salad

May be late on parade tomorrow, it’s take car down to Portsmouth for brake warring light investigation first thing, that’ll be fun mixing with the commuters on the busy roads, V Meldrew may pop in

i hope you're pots got the rain we did Farway 🙂

Nice quiet Monday work wise  :) so I made the most of a hour lunch break to pop to Lidl for bananas and berries, it saved me whining about 25p bananas at T Exp  :D  I grabbed some fruit and yoghurt when I got back

Dinner was LO chicken and veg with some  mash potato
