    Good morning everyone,
Another sunny but blowy one here today. The cold wind meant sitting out wasn't an option yesterday but it did mean a load of laundry dried in no time. My first load pegged out this year after DS2 brought the whirly gig out of storage. I've more pegged out this morning as I want to be up to date before DS2 returns with a load of dirty stuff.
No sign of any seedlings popping through yet, hopefully they'll be some signs of life over the next few days.
Scrambled eggs for lunch and roast turkey leg, veg & gravy for dinner.
  • Not much cooking going on here (does porridge count?) as out for lovely Sunday lunch 😋

Very productive before I went with bed changing, ironing and floor washing. I’m sure I’m more productive when the sun shines…

Smoked salmon sandwich assembled tonight, consumed with a glass of wine 😉

Not a lot of cooking done here either 😁

My sister and I went to cafe at the strawberry farm for lunch, I'm not sure what was happening there today as service was really slow they were busy as it was warm enough for people to sit outside but it took a hour from the time we arrived to get our food and I had to take my sausage baguette back as the sausages were too pink inside. She did dithered when I took it back and told me it passed the temperature test! So I said 'if you're sure I won't be cursing you with food poisoning later......'  The reason I checked was it didn't taste right 🙄 it took nearly 20 minutes to replace so I shared my sister's panini and she shared mine when it finally arrived. We consoled ourselves with some of their very nice cake all three tiers of it 😁 just as well we found enough to talk about to fill the time  :D

We did drive over to the next town as she wanted to look at baby clothes at the large Next in their retail park and Hobbycraft was next door and worth a quick visit 🙂

I didn't LO chicken for dinner so it was cheese, fruit and crackers for a cba dinner

Another sunny day ahead but not Salad Days ‘cos I’ve run out of salad until I get back to Mark’s, maybe tomorrow morning?

Nothing planned or urgent for today, maybe potter a bit in the garden and think very hard about sorting out my conservatory before I top it up with plants for summer, all seeds now germinated, they were very quick as only sown last Tuesday but in heated propogator though. Next lot is beetroot & Little Gem lettuce in a few days time

Meals for the day, lunch fried egg sarnie I think, very CBA

Dinner, having run out of salad & spuds I’m defrosting a YS Mark’s MFO, Thai red chicken curry, it can be nuked from frozen but it was bought YS chilled & seems “best cooked form chilled” so time enough to defrost on the kitchen top

    Good morning everyone,
My seeds are just on a window sill so always take a bit longer to get going, I'm hoping some will appear in the next couple of days.
DS2 has returned with the final mountain of stuff so chaos rules again until we find homes for it. As he's hoping to buy a place in the next year or so we don't want to get rid of things he will need then.
Sunnyish but chilly here this morning. Another good drying day though.
Job for today is to sort out the cleaning cupboard so that the stuff DS2 brought will fit. I've only just run down the surfeit of stuff that came from my Dad's back in 2019.........
LO turkey & veg for lunch and Thai green chicken & veg curry for dinner.
  • Swapped my office days this week (so I will be confused all week 😂), which meant today at home. Fairly productive but never did get round to writing the meeting minutes I’ve been avoiding but had promised myself I would do today…

Had some lovely fresh bread so made a sort of deli sandwich with prosciutto, roasted peppers, rocket and cream cheese for lunch. Did meat free Monday tonight and had couscous with roasted carrots and halloumi - would have been better if I’d remembered the honey when roasting the carrots but tasty enough and LOs in a lunchbox for tomorrow.

Can you hide it upstairs Caronc out of your sight 🙂

you're both making me feel guilty the seeds have made it to the dining table still in their packets 😐 the garden needs work done but I'm currently putting it off due to my hip  :s I did notice one of my rhubarb plants has leaves I must look for the rest

It was a fun day at work 🙄 we're a small team of four and had one on holiday, one off sick with CV and one with a four year old with chicken pox and system issues.  I resisted the gin tonight not good to start drinking on a school night 😁 luckily the boss only had today off, I've a list of stuff to go over with him  :😁  none if my own work was done today

lunch was a chicken salad wrap.  Dinner a nice easy egg and AF chips using up some LO cooked new potatoes

    Good morning everyone,
Yes most of it has been  stashed upstairs Brambling out of my way. Homes have been found for the various cleaning products, tubs and pantry bits. Just a pile on the kitchen table and a couple of boxes to go!
Mild but overcast here, I'm just waiting for the washing machine to finish to get another load pegged out then it's head down to concentrate on my voluntary admin for a few hours.
Tuna salad wrap for lunch and spag bol for dinner.

Warm & sunny here with a nice early start into town for Home Bargains & Marks. HB was gardening + eggs, Marks, salad + YS mooch

In HB I was hoping to find cucumber seeds, but no loose packets, just “collections” which are of no use to me. However a packet of Grownmore fertiliser & a dead looking Black Satin blackberry tumbled into my trolley

Marks was a good haul, much  needed fresh salad, still at 50p some of it. My ready prepped YS meat joint this week is turkey breast basted with butter.. Look at it as late Christmas, or early Easter

Also YS diced beef steak, slow cooker time tomorrow probably

I had also picked up some YS parsnips, but they went through checkout at full 50p, spotted during my post receipt check, soon rectified by refunding all 50p not just YS difference refund  but M & S refund. Very nice.

YS posh fluffy sourdough crumpets also purchased, toasted a pair of those for a very tasty lunch, topped with some cheap Smart Price mousetrap cheese to ruin the illusion

Dinner, the YS Mark’s roast turkey breast, with HM roast veg tray bake, steamed cauli, celery heart & broccoli. Bound to be left overs from that lot

  • Absolutely beautiful day again here - bit chilly first thing when I left the house but really warm by the middle of the afternoon, feels like spring is definitely on it’s way.

Had the LO roast carrot, halloumi and couscous as planned for lunch. Left the office later than planned so wasn’t home in time for early tea before swimming…had cheese and apple instead and have just had peanut butter on toast with a cuppa when I got home, could have been worse 🙃
