Hope you manage to stay Covid clear Caron but does sound like it’s out to get you, I expect it’ll get us all in the long run it’s just a matter of time
Out early in warm sun for chiropodist at local centre, popped into Co-op while there, just milk & a YS BBE stale loaf but fresh enough for my needs
Used a couple of slices for lunchtime with a cheese & pickle sarnie
Dinner is rinse & repeat of yesterday, last of the cold roast turkey breast, HM AF chips & salad

Oof, what a day - was exhausted by 11 a.m 😂 WFH so juggled a landscaper looking to be able to quote, a plumber coming to repair a basin waste and 2 Teams meetings between 9.30 and 11…landscaper was 5 minutes late, plumber 20 minutes early, I was late for the first meeting and the second one was delayed and then cut short!
Calmish couple of hours (just a minor system issue to help manage) before stopping for a fishfinger sandwich and hanging a load of washing out. Struggled through to the end of the day but logged off on time.
Had a well deserved 🍸while cooking chorizo, chickpea and halloumi stew for dinner 😋0 -
I share your pain JKS I have been the only one on the team who has worked a full week covering for the others, I did suggest to the boss it was my turn to a the day off but he turned a deaf ear 🤔
lunch was chicken soup. i felt that like I earned a good dinner so I found a lamb steak in the freezer and panned fried it with new potatoes, runner beans and griddled YS baby fennel and asparagus picked up last night when I went for petrol 😋 I didn't want to open a bottle of wine so I had a G&T I've some nice Dorset ginLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Another bright sunny & warm day ahead and I intend being in the garden later, bit of chopping up pruning’s into the garden wheelie bin now it’s been emptied. Exciting day, pushing the boat out I may even sow some radish seeds
Received invite from DD, over to her place in couple of weeks’ time for my birthday lunch, with Covid so many gatherings have been postponed or cancelled, fingers crossed the weather holds & all goes to plan. Sign of the times and growing up, her “children” will be out working but should be back for a quick “hello granddad”. At least they’ll maybe get to appreciate just how long it takes to get enough cash to buy something wanted. Still in Mum’s taxi though apparently
Easy CBA sort of meals today, lunch fried egg sarnie, CBA to even scramble them on toast
Dinner, nuke LO HM beef stew & dumplings

Good morning everyone,
It's another lovely day here. DS2 is still testing positive but is feeling much better. He's currently pressure washing the slabs. I'm still testing negative.
I've no real plans but will try and get a good dose of sunshine this afternoon once the mucky job is finished!
Salad for lunch and I've rose veal slices defrosting to make Schnitzel for dinner.0 -
What a beautiful day 😀 Topped up my vitamin D by doing some tidying in the garden, cutting the grass and hanging out a couple of loads of washing. Plus usual Saturday grocery shopping and domestic pottering.
End of the prosciutto in a sandwich with roasted peppers and the end of a tub of cream cheese for lunch. Made warm potato and smoked mackerel salad tonight.0 -
Spring has definitely sprung 😁 it's been a lovely sunny day here as well.
I met a friend in Chichester for lunch today, the first time this year 🙂 unfortunately her mums' health is not good so she's juggling work, home and going to see her very day. We had a nice lunch and a good gossip catch up.Dinner was a couple of boiled eggsLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Good morning everyone,
Sunny here this morning, DS2 looked out the garden furniture yesterday so another sit in the sunshine will be had this afternoon.
DS2 is still testing positive and mine are still negative.
LO Schnitzel for lunch, I love a cold piece in a sandwich with horseradish and lettuce.
Tonight I'm using a couple of chicken legs to make Balmoral Chicken which we're having with baby potatoes, tender stem broccoli and asparagus.

Quiet day in for me catching up on housework, a little gardening before my hip complained and catching up on masterchef 🙂
lunch was a egg and raw spinach sandwich, I had eggs which needed using and boiled them last night when I boiled some for dinner. I found some pearl barley in the cupboard so dinner was a roast squash pearl barley risotto with sage and a little piece of chorizo from the freezer, served with a side of broccoli. I forgot what a pain chopping up squash could be 🙂 even if a small one, I roasted it in the airfryer so quicker than the ovenLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin1 -
Slept late (for me) and was then confused that it was 8.50, only 7.50 by my body clock…have been thrown all day 😂
Quiet day here too, only left the house to go for a swim. Domestics and minor DIY here in between some Netflix, hooked on Atypical at the moment.
Lunch was scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toasted bagel after swimming. Lamb leg steak with broccoli, roasted vine tomatoes and crushed new potatoes with houmous stirred in (I adore houmous but wasn’t wowed by this).0
