MIA yesterday, sudden invite over to DS’s for Mum’s Day gathering, all very pleasant and Vegan but I survived and vegan choc brownies are very welcome.

Back to normal today, well sort of, somehow I’ve hurt my left foot and am hobbling around, luckily I’ve nothing planned so just have to rest it drinking tea but no cake unless I make one or biscuits until Asda arrive tomorrow

Talking of Asda,  e mail message they’re running out of lettuce & toms for my delivery and do I want to change my order? I’ve decide to take pot luck on whatever they decide to sub, but I expect the running out message is a shopping robot and no doubt come tomorrow all will be well

I have run out of bread, I did have enough but then had sarnie last night after my outing, made packet cheddar & tom bread mix in the Panny this morning which will see me through, I had thought of adding a loaf to my Asda shop but with the shortages listed I think on balance I’ll leave it alone in case it all gets worse, I know in the past once you go back a lot of things suddenly increase in price or vanish

Lunch today, trying to think what to have in my sarnie, probably settle for more cheese and maybe fresh tom sliced?

Dinner, salmon fillet defrosting,  fry that in olive oil / butter with HM AF chips & salad, just enough lettuce left for that

Sun’s out & warm, but due for a change soon so I’ll enjoy what there is today, hobbling around or not

    Good morning everyone,
    Hope the foot improves Farway.
DS2 still positive so no early release, I'm still negative.
Sunny here again but much cooler.
Bacon wrapped, haggis stuffed chicken yesterday was gorgeous and there's enough LO for a sandwich for lunch for us both.
Smoked haddock, leek and corn chowder for dinner which we'll have with a poached egg on top.
  • Another sunny day here, bit cooler but still got a towels load mostly dry on the line.

WFH and various bits and bobs needed eating in the fridge so a snack plate sort of a lunch - houmous, pitta, sugar snaps, cucumber, watercress, cheese, cocktail beetroot.

Pottered at some jobs after I had logged off then made prawn, broccoli and mushroom sweet chilli noodles. Also made a couple of days worth of beetroot and goats cheese couscous for lunches.

Dull morning with rain on the way and maybe snow once Caron has finished with it

My foot is quite painful now and hobbling about, plus  I have vague feeling I may be on the way to Covid, sore throat & no appetite, timing would fit me going to chiropodist at the volunteer centre. I’ll see how it goes and I’ve nothing I need to go out for or mingle

Skipped breakfast and my Asda delivery is due midday with hot X buns on offer in there so seems a good idea to try one of them for lunch

Dinner, depends on appetite, good job I have those Parsley Box meals in that I bought on offer so a quick ping should sort something out if I fancy it

Message from Asda, 3 subs, deodorant & cherry toms instead of bog standard red & round, I can live with those

    Good morning everyone,
Oh no Farway I hope your not "hatching" Covid.
It's DS2's final day of isolation and apart from a lingering cough he is feeling fine. Still very faintly positive but I believe that can carry on for a while. Thank goodness he's "free" tomorrow as he has to hand his keys back on Thursday. I'm still negative so unless anything changes in the next day or so I seemed to escaped catching it from him.
There's a fair bit of grey cloud building and it's much cooler, looks as though we'll miss any snow!
I want to give my bedroom a good tidy, my shelves and bed side tables seem to have become rather cluttered. Can't even blame anyone else!!
LO chowder tonight and I've salmon defrosting to cook Cajun spiced salmon pasta for dinner this evening.

There are unfortunately lots of none CV bugs doing the rounds as well Farway, hope you're feeling better than earlier

looks like you may have dodged it Caronc 🙂

it was definitely colder here today, I had turned my heating right down and was it was cold getting out of bed this morning.

Physio appointment lunchtime with more exercises to do for my hip, some which can be done standing up so something to do during a call 😁 it's a case of living with it and trying to build muscle tone around it. I came home via Lidl as I refuse to pay 25p a banana in T Express

lunch was a cheese and salad pitta when I got back from the hospital.  Dinner a FS thick pork chop, new potatoes, carrots and sweetheart cabbage

  • Oops, nearly forgot to post. Been swimming and then a long catch up call with my sister.

My heating is still coming on if it’s cold enough, Brambling but the dark mornings are completely throwing me 🙄

Office day today, to add to the confusion (the meeting I needed to be in for so swapped my days for was cancelled). Lunchbox beetroot and goats cheese couscous was lovely. Quick, early tea of beans with toast before swimming. Decluttered the last hot cross bun with a cuppa when I got home 😋

Much colder & very dull out, my heating clicked on earlier but with whatever I’m brewing up for I’m shivery now as well as hobbling about. Poor old soul, luckily with the Asda food delivery yesterday supplies etc. are not a problem

Being poorly I just CBA to even open tin of beans or nuke a Parsley Box MFO yesterday and settled for easy pair of chocolate hot cross buns and a couple of slices of Bovril on toast

Today’s meals may well be rinse & repeat with lemsip cocktails
