It’s warming up outside, and sun came out enough for me to potter & mini clear up the front yesterday. I may do a bit more today if the weather holds

I think I may have a mouse, grrrr, noticed some of the bird peanuts on the carpet and bits around.  I’ll hunt out my trusty trap and leave it set for tonight. I don’t think it’s ratty returned because not enough mess. Even so it’s a warning and time for action

Lunch is use up, my standby PB baguettes are past the their date so time to use up, grated cheese & tom is the easy & obvious filling but I may go wild and open up a tin of tuna

Dinner, more use up, I’m fed up with seeing Asda pizzas in the freezer, I had a spate of buying them in lockdown but I’ve gone off them now, so clearing out & making freezer space

    Good morning everyone,
Calmer here today but dull and damp. Thankfully my balance and tinnitus have settled down a good bit, I'm no longer staggering like a drunk and managed to wash my hair earlier.
A few admin bits and some routine chores and that about it for today's plans.
Mexican style veggie traybake yesterday was a success, will definitely make that again. There's veg/bean mix LO that I'll have for lunch.  I'm trying out a Nadiya chicken and rice traybake tonight. Chicken and rice traybake recipe - BBC Food

Is this where I admit to never having a greggs sausage roll 🙂

Caronc I think I'll try that tray bake, just no coriander 🤢

Another busy day, but just the one meeting 🙂 I did spend time trying to resolve a issue on a monthly piece of work I handed over nearly a year ago which won't go away 🙄 I'm told I shouldn't be so helpful  :|

I made a lovely pan of minestrone soup lunchtime I had a small container of diced pancetta which was enough to add a good favour to the soup 😋 I find finely dicing veg very relaxing 🙂 I made enough for five portions, some for this week and some to freeze

Dinner was the LO tandoori chicken and vegetable fried rice

Nor me! Or one of their bakes/slices/pies/pasties, just don’t see the appeal…

I’m classing today as a good day, mixture of an off site meeting and home but things achieved at both, hurrah.

Was home for lunch so good old beans with toast. Finally finished my antique bottle of Lea & Perrins 😂

Made a quick egg fried rice with the last of the LO chicken tonight.

Downhill to the weekend now 🙃

    Good morning everyone,
I'm partial to a Greggs once in a while, not something I'd want often but enjoy it when I do.
The traybake was very good Brambling, no coriander either as I didn't have any so used some parsley instead. It's generous portions though, I have halved the recipe and there's enough LO for my lunch despite DS2 having a huge plateful last night.
I didn't realise Lea Perrin bottles ever finished lol, despite regular use I'm pretty sure mine was bought while I was still working!!
Back to stormy here but dry so far.
Salmon fillets with spuds and salad tonight for CBA Thursday.

Bit of rain in the wind morning but I wanted to get out to run the car & get to M & S, mainly for bread & milk but YS mooching as well

I was very pleasantly surprised at the veg prices in M & S, not sure if some sort of offers on but 50p lettuce, massive cauli 85p, YS parsnips 35P. Plus YS chicken & YS beef CFO size pie. That’s this week’s meals sorted

I’d never had Greggs sausage rolls either, only bought them ‘cos Iceland had on offer with my delivery. Along with Harry R’s F & Cs. Had to try just in case, the fish I may repeat but not the SRs

I thought L & P sauce was like Marmite; it never runs out, always some in there

With my M & S haul I have a bit of CFO later, but lunch is the last PB baguette, with cheese & sliced onion filling

Dinner, I think the YS M & S individual steak pie, with steamed fresh carrots, cauli and frozen sprouts. Somewhere I may have frozen readymade mash; if so I’ll nuke that & make some space. If not I’ll make fresh mash

I’ll cook the chicken today because it’s on the use by date, then all set for rest of the week, where a cauliflower cheese may appear this weekend, as may chicken salad

Thanks Caronc, maybe one to make when I have guests or I'll be eating it all week  :D

    Good M&S visit Farway 🙂

Funny enough I finished my L & P yesterday in my soup, it was brought before lockdown 🙂 I use it a lot but as only a few drops are required it does last forever 😁

Lunch was a mug of minestrone soup with a couple of crackers with cheese.  Dinner pork chop with colcannon, broccoli and carrots.  There is enough colcannon left to call it bubble and squeak tomorrow 😋

  • My L&P was way older than before lockdown 😂

Office this morning and then another off site meeting so quick mug of soup before I left.

Salmon with broccoli and pesto pasta tonight.

    Good morning everyone,
Horrible weather here this morning, baltic and the rain is decidedly lumpy!
Tesco due soon, no subs just an unavailable item - 2 bunches of daffs so nothing crucial.
I'm pooch sitting today and overnight but apart from that have no specific plans.
Last night I topped the salmon with a mix of coarse ciabatta crumbs and HM pesto, it was lovely.
Today is very much tbc in the food department.
