Hope your arm has improved Caron, bit of a nuisance in the run up to Christmas but all worth it hopefully
Seeing your post about delivery & charges Brambling made me stop & check my Asda order, and update it. Still can’t get the pass credit card to update but it’s showing as zero charge for the day. Actually when I was on the Asda site the veg is now down to 20p so popped a pack of carrots on the list, and they’ve lobbed in a free six pack of Extra Special mince pies, I’d already put them on the list but free is even better, selected customers only it says, yep, that’ll do me
Dull & grey again, glad I don’t have to trudge round shops this morning
Food today, I’ve made a fresh loaf so lunch is butcher’s posh bangers, cooked in AF, in a sarnie
Dinner, Mark’s MFO veg curry + rice

Good morning everyone,
Your steak sounds gorgeous Brambling.
Have you checked your bank account Farway to make sure the delivery pass payment hasn't gone through even though the card was cancelled.
My arm is much less sore but still very stiff. Hopefully that will ease over the next day or so.
Minimal plans for today apart from sorting out Tuesday's Tesco delivery. DS2 is hoping to find us a small Christmas tree today.
Toastie for lunch and chicken wings with HM wedges and corn cobettes for dinner.0 -
Tree is decorated and the present I am delivering tomorrow is wrapped. Have also had my hair done and done a grocery shop. Taking that as a win today 😉
Had to be in the hairdressers over lunchtime so brunch before I went - scrambled egg, bacon and avocado on toast. Tapas/nibbles with wine and the Strictly final tonight 😋0 -
Evening all 🙂
it's been a day of two halves 🙂 a colleague of my youngest nephew is ill with CV he was working with her Wednesday, currently he is testing negative but it's a small shop they work in. Christmas plans could be changing 🤞on the positive side I will become a great great aunt again next year, that's two babies due April /May two different generations, one sister will be a granny the other a great granny 😁
I braved town lunchtime and it was quiet even for a normal Saturday, I was led astray buying local cheese in the farmers market, cheese and biscuits will appear over the next couple of weeks 😋 it was why I went down today. Unfortunately as I was later than usual the egg man had sold out, n problem as I just tweaked my Waitrose for tomorrow, luckily nothing else showed as out of stock when I went inEarly lunch of bacon and egg. Roast chicken for dinner 😋there will be a lot of LOs
wine was also supped with strictly 😁 I didn't mind who won but I was happy with the result 😁Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Waitrose arrived just in time with five minutes of my delivery slot left. Only sub was 2 X 300g of mushrooms in lieu of 1 X 500g for same price. Nice looking, West Sussex grown mushrooms as well. And my smoked salmon is well in date for Christmas, 30 Dec, I did put a note so maybe they read it? All in all a fridge full
With all the mushrooms & diced steak [on offer] it’s sorted out tomorrow’s dinner, it’s quite chilly out so a warming casserole will be ideal, if it wasn't for a Pukka pie on it's BB date I'd pop a casserole in right now
Meals today, lunch has to be another posh banger sarnie. The Farm Shop sausages are as tasty as hoped for.
Dinner, last of the Asda offer Pukka pies, steak this time, with AF HM chips I think
Still getting nags about Asda delivery pass payment fails, at least once this delivery is over & the New Year rolls round I can get on & start over. I may pay as I go for a month or so, I only went with pre pay when slots were scarce last year, bird in the hand etc. Caron, it’s a credit card which was cancelled by card co due to intercepted fraud attempt post W8rose online shop a few months back, hence why it’s not working

Good morning everyone,
Hopefully come the New Year you can get your pass sorted out Farway.
Fog rolled in yesterday afternoon and hasn't lifted and it's still -2C!
DS2 bought a Christmas tree yesterday, it's rather bushy so might need a trim so it fits where I want it to go. It and the decorations will go up later. Apart from that a quiet day I think, DS2 worked a hideous amount hours while he was away so is needing some chill out time. I think the Tesco order for Tuesday is finalised and unless any major items are missing the only things we might need are some milk & rolls on Christmas Eve and they can be bought without having to brave a supermarket.
Need to have a think about my share of the family Christmas Day quiz. I just need 5 questions so not too much of a challenge!
LOs for lunch. Dinner tonight will be slow cooked gammon, cauli cheese, carrots, mashed swede and roasties.0 -
Foggy morning here as well, but not too cold I used it as an excuse for a lazy day 🙂
I think Waitrose are trying to tell me something 🤨 the three out of stock items were all Christmas treats, stollen, Turkish delight and panettone 😐 I'm not sure if I cba to look for them elsewhere, probably better for the waistline if I don't. I can steal a piece of stollen from my sister 🙂 shopping was delivered a couple of minutes early, the guy wasn't very talkative all he said was "I've another basket in the van" not even a hello, I'm assuming they are run of their feet at the moment but they are usually more chatty when I pack into my own bags
lunch was a cheese and seafood stick salad. Dinner was LO roast chicken dinner, nice and easy just needed to make more gravy and ping it

Hope you get the tree to fit Caron I just rely on the offspring’s decorations now and don’t bother here. Bah Humbug
I had a restless night; my foot has flared up again over the weekend & kept me awake last night. Normally I’d leave it and see how it goes, but with the Christmas break coming up I’ve phoned Dr and expecting a call back PM. Maybe more anti biotic but I suspect there’s a limit on them. If nothing else some pain killers but with all the pills I’m on he’ll have to see what will mix, I know Isobrufen type are to be avoided which limits my options.
It’s foggy, cold & miserable looking out; good job today is beef casserole day. With dumplings if I remember in time
Lunch, last of the posh butcher bangers in AF, probably in a sarnie even though the brad is getting a tad stale
Seeing the lack of Christmas treats from W8rose Brambling, I wonder if my free mince pies will arrive from Asda? I’m not going to muck around with the list now, like you I can pop out Friday if desperate

Good morning everyone,
Hope your foot settles down Farway.
After quite a lot of muttering over uncooperative lights the tree is up and just fits in the space.
Routine domestics today and DS2 has offered to hoover and sort out a curry for dinner tonight. Tesco order for tomorrow is hopefully finalised just need to see if everything comes. If not, depending on what it is, DS2 will do a quick SM run.
There's LO ham and cauli cheese from yesterday. The ham will cover a couple of days lunches and the cauli cheese I'll freeze for another meal.0 -
Two days to go! Much better day today too 😃
MIA yesterday as out for lovely lunch. End of the tapas/nibbles while I wrapped a few more bits last night.
Last day in the office and the end of the spiced carrot and lentil soup with a toasted pitta for lunch. Made a chorizo and butter bean stew tonight. Freezer looking much less tetris like…0
