Just the two of us working today me and the boss and it was lovely and quiet so he said just after 4pm let's go.  No argument from me I was closing down applications as he was typing 😁 although finishing work so early has thrown me tonight as I think it should be a lot later than it is

lunch was a small jacket potato (AF) with cheese and HM coleslaw.  Dinner was Nasi Goreng so nice and quick with LOs

  • Oh dear, forgot to post last night…long day but it was wfh and the to do list is much shorter than when I started, thanks caronc - despite things being added as fast as I was clearing them at one point 😂

Lunch was fishfinger flatbread and dinner was pork stroganoff.

Back later…have a home to do list to tackle next 🙄

    Good morning everyone,
Glad you got an early finish Brambling  :)
At least with home "to dos" JKS  there's no one else to account to if they don't get done!
Wet and dreary here this morning but quite mild. I aim to finish the rest of the conservatory cleaning today or at least the bits I can do. DS2 will tackle the high bits when he returns. Still have Christmas cards to sort out so will try and make a start on them later.
Yesterday I ended up having the remaining cauli cheese mixed with peas for lunch. Dinner was toast topped with beans, an egg and a slice of Lorne so LO beans for lunch today. I'm not sure about this evening possibly a spicy chicken burger or breaded cod.

The Asda delivery arrived a tad early but I was up & about so not a problem. Just one sub, a different flavour of deodorant which I can live with

Tried phoning about the delivery pass & credit card situation, it was a very frustrating phone call :'( , if I say “accent” I’m sure you’ll get the idea. It never got resolved so tried again on line this morning, still kaput, not sure I’ve the stamina to try phoning again just yet

However now all the shopping has been put away the rest of the day is free.

Last night’s bangers were OK, but I do dislike the trend of skins made out of seaweed instead of animal innards, I find they never really cook properly, just go sticky & yucky in the pan. I can see me searching around a bit more despite buying posher ones.

With restocking today’s food is fresh.

    Lunch, cheesy salad PB baguette

Dinner, reheat some LO mash, with on offer Pukka chicken pie, carrots, broccoli, celery heart & maybe frozen green beans + LO onion gravy

PS, the Christmas pud delivered is BBE May 2023 so no rush there

Farway before you go through the hassle of another call it might be worth another try tomorrow. I couldn't update the card details for me Tesco pass until the day after it had finished so Asda might be the same.

You could always try a email Farway, or sometimes companies offshore at weekends and evenings only

i drove out to the farm shop this morning as no on line shop this week, I just needed to top up on fruit and veg and their bacon, sausages and pork and apple burgers.

I had a hair appointment lunchtime so went early via my sister's in theory to drop the car off and do a bit of shopping but stayed for a cuppa instead 🙂  I did go into M&S food hall afterwards and picked up some YS less than 1/2 price scallops and chicken (now frozen) and a small beef joint which are currently 1/3 off. I was tempted with their half side of salmon also 1/3 off but decided against it as I have my sister's Christmas lunch in the freezer taken up room.  Not sure now whether I should have brought it 🤔 I may check how much salmon I have in the freezer and ponder

I ended up lunchless today, I had breakfast cereal before going to FS and a banana before going into town.  Early dinner was LO Nasi Goreng

  • Nearly missed posting today as well! Well, the home to do list is written…not much crossed off yet but I’ve had a nice relaxing day.

Cold, grey and damp again so I was glad of quiche and baked beans for lunch. Treated myself to scampi and chips (from the freezer) in front of Strictly tonight 😋

Bit of an upset tum last night, maybe it was the Pukka pie even though well in date? Good job I ‘m well stocked with loo rolls ;) . All sorted now and was well enough to go over to DS’s to take the Christmas presents “just in case” things happen before the day.

A very damp & dim day outside, despite that I spotted some forsythia flowers out already, and ornamental plum with flower buds, must be extra mild where he is

Meals today, taking it steady with my tum, just a few Oreos over at DS’s, and probably a frozen pizza later on for my dinner should be easy enough and nothing likely to trigger a return

Christmas cards written, just need stamps & posting now

    Good afternoon everyone,
Hope the tum stays settled Farway.
It was dry earlier so I cracked on and washed the back windows and patio doors. They were filthy after the storms. All nice and sparkly now but that won't last long!
Sis is popping by with pooch for a cuppa and a catch up then I'll get on with the Christmas cards.
Lunch was cheese on toast and some grapes. Dinner is tbc as I might be Zooming early evening with some pals. Depending on how long that lasts it will either be a freezer rake or a pork chop with veg and spuds.

I hope you've been able to leave the littlest room Farway 🙂. Damp and dim sums up the day here as well  :|

other than a trip to a elderly friend to help with a couple of things and have a cuppa and catch up this morning it's been a quiet day

Lunch was some gammon from the freezer with salad stuff, not exactly salad weather but i tidied the bread to the bottom of the freezer 🙄 I roasted a small pork loin joint (half of a larger joint) and had it with Indian spiced roast potatoes and parsnip, savoy cabbage, tenderstem broccoli. Meat and veg LOs 😁
