I'm glad the foot is easing Farway, there is a small old graveyard in town which is always worth a walk through as it's been allowed to 'wild' I found it when I went on one of the local walks arranged by our museum many years ago it seems to be a well kept secret 🙂
I'm afraid the soup ended up down the sink, I tried a mug lunchtime and even with a spoonful of yogurt it was too hot to be enjoyable and would just get spicier in the fridge, luckily it was only half a batch 😐🙄
Work was same **** different daywe did have a hour teams presentation from our pension provider which was very useful and understandable although I did have to do some translating afterwards to one of my colleagues who tells me they have a house they don't need a pension 😬 they are in their mid 30s
lunch was half a mug of soup with a toasted bagel. Dinner YS stirfry vegLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Definitely a soup kind of a day here - portion of the spiced carrot and lentil from the freezer with a toasted pitta for lunch. Shame about your spicy soup Brambling but no point soldiering on if it’s not edible…I once spent hours making a batch of beef massaman curry that was so disappointing I had to throw it away, such a waste, haven’t been brave enough to attempt it ever again…
Dinner here was chicken fajitas with smashed avocado and soured cream 😋0 -
Back to dull & wet this morning but sun is trying hard
Better news on my foot, I think the antibiotics are starting to work at last, it’s nowhere near as painful or swollen, fingers crossed
Good job Christmas is coming; I need new stretchier comfortable socks now I have fatter feet.
Today’s food is very similar to yesterday
Lunch, LO chicken & stuffing in last YS bap
Dinner, YS MFO bangers & mash, plus frozen veg. I found green beans, sprouts & cauliflower lurking frozen into fist sized lumps but turned out OK once bashed apart cooked

Good morning everyone,
Glad the antibiotics are finally helping Farway.
Back to dull and damp her but much milder, at this time yesterday it -2C and today it's 9C!
We got what we needed get done on the final accounts checks last night, just need to do the final pull together.
I ended up being quite late in bed and I wish I could've managed I lie in this morning but my body clock was having none of it. I caught up on a bit of yesterday's Masterchef, the skills test dishes had me drooling!
I may or may not tackle some more kitchen cleaning, I need lots more tea before I see if I have enough oomph to be bothered.
Eggs again for lunch as I hard boiled extra yesterday. Dinner is tbc from the freezer.0 -
The dustmen woke me up before 7 this morning and as it was a double bin day the second lot were here 10 minutes later 🙄 they also woke the furry alarm clock so I was up before my actual alarm went off 😐
Work started with a text whilst I was eating breakfast from my colleague who doesn't work Friday but had checked emails and saw we had a live system issue. The day went downhill from there with only two of us working 😐
I finally repeated JKSs falafels, flat bread, hummus and grated carrot for lunch with added cucumber. The hummus was a quick thrown together one, I couldn't find the new jar of tahini so add a splash of toasted sesame oil instead.Lunch was quite filling so dinner was AF LO new potatoes with a fried egg and some mushrooms

Today is sunshine but damp, not that I’m tempted out today
I keep adding “bits” to my online Asda list, more items that are cupboard stuff, like table salt, just goes down a shake at a time until the blasted thing’s empty at the critical moment
I’ve added a posh rich fruit cake to the W8rose list, sort of un iced Christmas cake but two minds whether to make one or not, a bit of pondering and the decision may be made for me by the time I get to click “buy” anyway
More use ups for today’s food
Lunch, LO roast chicken & stuffing sarnie
Dinner, maybe try the Mark’s fruity chicken curry RM I bought mid-week?

Good morning everyone,
Cold, wet and windy here this morning, back to 2C and to get above a "feels like" 1C all day!
I was in bed and lights out by 10.30pm yesterday and slept pretty well so feeling much fresher this morning.
Apart from Tesco arriving later I'm not sure what my plans are, I might do some more kitchen cleaning and write some Christmas cards.
Ended up with bangers, baked spud and veg. I only ate 1/2 the spud so the remainder will be turned into wedges to have with a spicy chicken burger from the freezer for dinner. Lunch is tbc.0 -
MIA yesterday as there wasn’t a lot of C going on, never mind CFO. Lunch was a cheese and beetroot wrap and dinner was an amazing burger from a stall at a Christmas fair 🤩
Got some lovely bread when I did the food shop this morning so lunch was open sandwich with smoked salmon, beetroot and horseradish. Used the fajita LOs to make quesadillas tonight, with some black beans from the freezer turned into refried beans and a sort of guacamole with the end of the avocado. Went well with a 🍷 and Strictly…0 -
Booster jab this morning (Moderna) this evening my arm is sore and my joints are seizing up which they did with my first jab but I'm not complaining 🙂
I walked into town with my sister lunch time and had Mac & cheese and cake from a small cafe in the centre. Either of us could get any enthusiasm to Christmas shop and my sister had a panic as only two Christmas cakes in M& S 🙄 They have also got their turkeys in but didn't have the one she usually buys, I told her not to panic until nearer the day and I have a small chicken in my freezer 😁 it wasn't appreciated 😋
I went to see on screen viewing of the Met opera at the local Arts centre there were only about a dozen of us there so no problem with social distancing. As I had to leave home early no dinner before I went and cheese and biscuits when I got home at 9pmLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Thoroughly enjoyed last night’s Marks fruity curry, just my amount of not blow head off heat, I’ll get that one again
Caron, reminded me about Christmas cards, I’ll have to sort mine out soon
CFO is really use up time, and more of reheating than cooking because I’m using frozen items
Lunch, pickings off the roast chicken & stuffing in a sarnie
Dinner, last of the roast chicken & stuffing plus using up / clear out frozen roast spuds & veggies before I restock for this Christmas
