Very sunny & hot today but storms due sometime from the West later, maybe
Out watering at the volunteer garden first thing, I had sort of planned to try Lidl, first time since Mach 2020 lock down but I was so knackered by the time I'd finished I CBA to try it, nothing urgently required except maybe eggs. I knocked the mixing cup over and egg washed the kitchen tops :'(

Meals today, has to be salad for dinner, had I some eggs I could've made an omelette to go with it but no idea what I'll pair with it yet
Lunch, maybe grilled cheese on toast again, don't fancy a sarnie

I should have checked you're post before watering tonight Farway, it's currently raining and thundering now 🙄  ot surprising as it was a very hot and muggy day 🥵 my car was in full sun lunchtime and read 32 it was blooming hot to drive, luckily I was only going down to park at my sis before walking into town for my hair appointment.  I'm now cut and colour and looking a lot less wild I was looking like I had touched one of those aluminium balls we had in science at school which made your hair stand on end 😀 it's a shame it will only last until it's first washed

Early lunch today as I had to leave at 1pm, so cheese on toast  (I'm blaming you for giving me the idea) dinner was a cba omelette and salad I was too hot for new potatoes or chips.  Blackberries I picked yesterday are in the freezer as it was too hot for crumble

  • Long, hot day of meetings 🙄

More noodle salad for lunch and HM ready meal from the freezer of spiced chicken and apricot rice, served with sugar snap peas for a bit of greenery.

Enjoyed my swim tonight and now entertaining myself with celebrity masterchef…bit of barrel scraping this series 😂

Very dull weather wise this morning, no rain or storms here Brambling but I did see the lightening plus rumbles from your general direction

My HM bread had mould on it, due to humidity I guess, so binned the remainder. I'll not make another loaf just yet because I have some PB baguettes handy so may as well use them first

Lunch will be a PB baguette with cheesy + tom filling
Dinner, could be salad but unsure right now

    Good morning everyone,
Yes not the best bunch JKS though I'm still enjoying it!
Damp and humid here this morning, I have very loud tinnitus so I'm hoping it will thunder and clear the air a bit so the weather pressure settles.
More domestics planned today and another lazy afternoon. Grocery order for tomorrow just needs a final tweak.
DS2 returned from buying milk with 4 YS avocados so avocado salad for lunch. Chinese takeaway style chicken & veg curry with boiled rice for dinner.
  • Oh yes, caronc, still entertaining - love seeing their confidence grow.

Back in the office today so end of the noodle salad in a lunchbox. Easy meal of salmon with broccoli and pesto pasta tonight.

Looking forward to a wfh day tomorrow, and the weekend 😉 been another busy one…

I'm another watcher of Masterchef I was glad Sue left yesterday she did annoy me

Annual eye test this morning and no changes 😁 and as I'm entitled to free eye test due to family history of glaucoma no money spent either.  I did park at my sis as it's closer to town and it waited until I was a couple of minutes away from the car before the sky's opened 🙄 and then stopped as I reached the optician, it started again as I left town to get back to the car

After lunch it dried enough to tackle the front garden I wanted to remove three plants for garden rubbish collection day, I think they were Phormium? planted when I had the garden done but now much too big for the space and no flower so I hoped to remove them.  The second one broke the fork  :s it was my mums so quite old.  It took me an hour to get two up so I gave up on the third, the ground was too hard and it's difficult to get behind as the is my neighbours holly bush behind it 😬 and my back started to complain. Unfortunately his lordship was eying up the hollow made as I came back in 🙄

Lunch was late so a quick tuna Mayo salad.  Dinner was sea bass fillet YS from my freezer with new potatoes and green veg

    Good morning everyone,
Lol Brambling, looks as though he found a favoured spot!! I'd say testing for future use going by the crouch......
Yes I was pleased to see Sue go as she really irritates me.
Dull and damp here this morning after some torrential rain yesterday afternoon.
Tesco are due anytime and then I'll see what the day brings. If it stays dry and I can find some oomph I might do a bit of weeding in the front garden.
Sandwich of some description for lunch and breaded cod for dinner.

Bummer with the fork Brambling, I've had a cheap one bend and an old old wooden handle snap, which I've yet to replace:blush:

Rain arrived here at last so one job saved this morning

Had tootsies sorted first thing, then into Co-op for a mooch, cucumber & YS celery, very handy I was out of celery and Iceland, my next on line shop, don't sell it. Plus YS chicken & mush pasties, Ginsters so that's dinner sorted

One ciabatta made & cooling, but I think I'll use up the LO PB baguette for lunch, more cheese & salad filling
Dinner as mentioned C & Mush pasty, maybe HM AF chips & LO beans?

DD is popping over later to collect loads of jam jars, the MIL has a huge James Grieve apple tree with tons of apples going begging so two birds with one brick trip for DD
