I've always had scones on top of cobbler, sweet and savoury but your recipe looks like one to try Farway I may have to go blackberrying.

Frightening numbers Caronc definitely a demonstration on how virus spreads, hopefully your son will stay negative.

I lost a filling today. I ting into a apple 🙄 it's my front tooth which I broke approx ten years ago thanks to my low BP.  It's  not painful just a little sharp on my tongue and I'm vain enough to hate it as well 😬 it regularly drops off and I did say at my check up how this time it was nearly 3 years 😐 I've a dentist appointment next Tuesday to replace but it wouldn't need numbing

lunch was LO sausage tray bake with runner beans and dinner a portion of stuff courgette I made last night, so a easy day cooking wise 🙂.

Caron, that CV is really a spreading strain, but one good thing is it's in advance of wedding so should be clear for then
My granddaughters were first jabbed the other day, now into the 17 year olds, get them done in time for college return as it's final year they can't really afford to miss any thing, but they've both had the real CV anyway so should be flameproof by now

Brambling, hope the tooth gets back to normal  OK, at least you are able to get into a dentist now unlike a year ago
I still have to sort out my eye check up, I keep putting it off but should really get along to S/savers

Dull day out with rain due sometime supposedly. With that in mind today's meals are hearty comfort ones

I have a ciabatta in the Panny for lunchtime sarnie and very tempted by tin of sardines having bought some in last week's delivery
Dinner, I had hoped to include my remaining runner bean but that is looking forlorn & chewed this morning :'( , so it's steamed cabbage, broccoli, carrots & celery + nuke LO mash + last of the frozen Asda C & O pies

Just added a whole chicken to my next Asda delivery, of course it may never arrive but at least it's now showing in stock

    Good morning everyone,
Yes they should all be okay for the wedding, most have minor or no symptoms apart from one lad who's feeling quite rough and has lost his sense of taste and smell.
It's tipping it down here, started yesterday evening and hasn't stopped since. DS2 is going to get rather soggy putting the logs away, I'll suggest he leaves it until tomorrow when the forecast is better. They're kiln dried so will be fine left out for another 24 hours, they'll dry out quickly once stacked under cover.
Lunch will probably be a bacon butty and I've homemade burgers defrosting for this evening to have with salad, corn cobettes and potato pops. I might make a pan of tomato sauce this afternoon as I've exhausted my freezer stocks and want some later in the week.

I did have a eye test last year after lockdown Farway and have one booked for early September, family history of glaucoma means yearly checks and it was all very safe

i did wait almost 18 months for my dentist checkup, I'm wondering if her poking around loosen the filling 🤔

I realised today I haven't left the house or garden since coming home last Saturday, I have spoken to neighbours whilst in the garden.  I needed a few bits plus a birthday card for my nephew so popped into town after lunch once it stopped raining,  I only parked for a hour so it was a flying visit in for card, M&S food hall and Brighton blue cheese from the farmers market.  I bumped into my sister in M&S so gave her a lift home and begged a cuppa.

Lunch was a lazy bowl of Greek yogurt and fruit.  Dinner the last of the traybake, the sausages were very meaty so four sausages and a little bit of chopped bacon did three portions (unplanned)

I picked some runner beans, courgettes and a little rhubarb before dark tonight which I'll take to my sister tomorrow, it's my nephew's birthday and he's invited himself home for his mums roast dinner and the standard chocolate birthday cake and a visit from his favourite auntie 😁

The early sunshine didn't last, dull now. But at least the sole surviving sunflower has fully opened, it's tall but not a monster, truth is it's a tad disappointing after all the expectation, and the name "Russian Giant". But hey ho, it's opened & a nice bright yellow at the front door

I'll have a stroll down the garden later on blackberry patrol, hoping to keep on top of them this year because last year a lot went mouldy with the wet. I tried one of my plums, OK but so so, not quite ripe I suspect, they are lush when ripe

Food today is very easy & lazy
Lunch, cheese + salady bits sarnie
Dinner, use up stale bread toast with tinned spag + use up couple of fried eggs on top. A slap up CFO Sunday dinner :D

    Good afternoon everyone,
Hope you enjoy your nephew's birthday Brambling.
Dry here today after non-stop rain yesterday. DS2 has just stacked 2 huge bags of logs so I've promised to make brunch for us - lorne sausage, egg and tattie scone in a bagel.
I cooked a large pan of tomato sauce yesterday which I've portioned and frozen in various sized tubs. Should keep us going for a bit.
Chicken breasts stuffed with blue cheese and wrapped in bacon for dinner tonight with spuds, creamy garlic mushrooms and roasted tomatoes.

That sounds tasty, but no garlic mushrooms for me thanks ;)

Another dull morning but only thing for today is change bedding & a bit of garden watering, the rain we had was just a sprinkle & no use at all
More blackberries are ripe but not enough for another cobbler just yet

meals today are very boring and lazy
Lunch, another sarnie, I fancy cheese & marmite today
Dinner, from the freezer, either stab & ping MFO or a pizza

    Good morning everyone,
The more garlicky the better for me Farway but they'd work just fine without it.
The chicken breasts were large so there's LOs for a lunchtime sandwich, they were very tasty and didn't leak for once!
My stove is getting swept this afternoon so I'll need to shift the sofa etc. before they arrive - I wonder what all will be lurking under it!!
The cucumber plant that I thought might be finished has a couple of babies, hopefully they'll thrive.
Halloumi fajitas with air fried sweet potato chips for dinner.

I wish blackberries grew over here, so miss picking them and having bramble and apple crumble or jam :(

I woke up this morning feeling like someone stuffed my head full of cotton wool 😐 not sure why as I didn't have a drink last night and had slept ok?   Last night turned into a double celebration as my nephew and his GF announced they were expecting 😁 this will be my sisters' first grandchild. I'm also reserving the rights to spoilt it a little 🙂

Lunch today was mozzarella and Parma ham salad.

By the time I finished work today my fuzzy head was complaining about too much screen time, a painkiller and what was suppose to be a five minute sit down which turned into a hour plus nap.  I didn't fancy cooking the thick pork chop when his lordship woke me up just after 8pm so dinner was toast and marmalade, the pork chop will wait until tomorrow
