No food left on the counter anymore then  Caronc  :)

I spent the morning taxiing a elderly friend around the initial request was could I take her to the gardening centre but we ended up in the chemist and T Express. She was lucky to get her bedding plants in their sale as it's getting late in the year. At least her new Walker folds so is easier to get in and out of the car

Lunch was a cheese, salad wrap with extra cucumber and tomatoes on the side,  I made a cauliflower curry in the slow cooker using all the sad veg in the fridge (made far more than I intended as I find chopping vegetables relaxing and got carried away🙄 ) I didn't want to have rice again so added some  new potatoes. It made five portions in the end 😬 one portion for dinner just with LO green veg so very healthy 🙂  I froze three and left one for LOs but it may end up in the freezer depending what I fancy tomorrow.  My HM RMs are stocking up in the freezer

Nope definitely not as I think my protestations were wasted as he was so very pleased with himself..... He has no concept of the difference between chairs, tables etc, any ledge will do lol, though given his background  it's probably not surprising!

Had a nice day today - some beauty treatments and a few errands in town this morning.

Home for lunch of scrambled eggs with coriander on chilli avocado toast.

Pottered at a few domestic bits and caught up on telly (olympics and other stuff) this afternoon.

Made quesadillas from the LO chicken, onion and new potatoes tonight. Served with lettuce, avocado and the end of the LO chimichurri sauce. Was lush 😋

    Good evening everyone,
It's been a lovely day here today, sunny and pleasantly warm. I thought I'd give my pots a good feed and have managed to dye my hands bright blue mixing soluble plant food! By the time I realised it was staining it was too late and the blooming stuff isn't for shifting so I'll just need to wait for it fade. Thank goodness I have nothing social arranged this week!
DS2 has headed off for a few days of site visits so I'm back to CFO. Lunch was a roll with pate and homegrown tomatoes and cucumber along with a bowl of grapes. I've chicken thighs defrosting tonight which I'm going to cook with sumac, garlic, oregano, onions & peppers on top of a pitta bread. The bread absorbs all the cooking juices and goes nice and crispy.  :)

Do we do we need to call you smurfette now Caronc 😁

Overcast morning was followed by yet more heavy rain.  I spent the morning tidying my bedroom, sorting out cupboards and drawers etc I did lift the bed and had to fish his lordship out so that will be finished another day.

Lunch was chicken salad with HM potato salad. I sister popped around for 5 hours 🙂 and stayed for dinner, made a green vegetable and salmon risotto and we put the world to rights 😁 over numerous mugs of tea

Drizzle first thing, put paid to my intended early start in the garden so sorted out MOT test date instead for next Monday.
With lock down I've hardly covered 250 miles since last MOT, at least nothing should've worn out

Would that be Miracle Gro? It certainly gets blue stains every where it touches. The blue is food grade dye so apart from turning you blue it's fairly harmless

I opened a tin of pilchards yesterday, it was about the only thing I fancied by the time dinner came round, made a nice sarnie with them, very CFO, Sunday dinner = pilchard sarnie

I have a tomato ripening at last, my first this year, at least that is beyond the snails' reach at the moment

    Lunch pilchard & lettuce sarnie
Dinner, could be the same or maybe a frozen pizza, not in cooking mode at the moment

    Good morning everyone,
Yes smurfette sounds about right Brambling it's that shade of blue lol.
Yes it was Miracle Gro Farway, I know it's harmless but it's just a PITA. I usually buy the liquid concentrate but had a box that came from my Dad's house. I'll be gloving up next time as don't want to fling it out. Hopefully lots more ripe tomatoes soon, unusual for me to be picking before you but it seems to have been a weird growing year!
Sunny again this morning but it's to change tomorrow so day I want to catch up with the laundry so I can get it pegged out. With DS1 and DIL-to-be staying over I have extra bedding and towels needing doing might as well crack on with it while the weather is favourable.
Tesco are due this morning and then dead heading is on the "to do" for this afternoon.
Pate salad wrap for lunch and veggie pasta for dinner.

The weekend seemed to fly past and even the furry alarm clock was reluctant to get out of bed this morning 🙂 and work had the usual beginning of the month issues plus system problems  🙄 at least it stayed dry

I needed something I couldn't get in T Express so went to Sainsbobs for the first time in months tonight.  I only needed a few bits so it was a quick flit around, there was a lot of gaps on the shelves but other than honey it had what I wanted, there was only the really expensive 'sell a kidney' jars left and I'm not that desperate, it was a nice to have not a essential 🙂

a day of LOs for me so nice and easy, lunch was salmon risotto and dinner cauliflower curry.  To avoid a double rice day I skipped it tonight and just had green veg, there were new potatoes in the curry.

    Good morning everyone,
Tipping it down here today, I don't think I'll be straying far!
I've not much planned some domestics and voluntary admin and that's about it. Think it could be a good day to snuggle on the sofa with my book for a few hours this afternoon.
Pate and salad wrap for lunch. I've defrosted some cooked piri piri chicken for tonight though haven't quite decided what to do with it yet.

'morning, we have the sun this morning so took the opportunity & finished off pruning the apples & pear, all done now.

Had to get going early because off out lunchtime checking over seating at a pub where we are going after a cremation. Only checking because I read on trip Advisor they have those tall seats, where you perch at tall tables and the TA advice was make sure you get the normal ones, so that's the mission
Lunch may be at the pub, or maybe not because the person I'm going with is double whammy of veggie + dairy intolerant and as the pub is more back street boozer than Harvester I suspect Veggie choice is very limited on a Tuesday lunchtime

I've got a ciabatta in the Panny so will not starve should eating lunch out fail.
Dinner, don't know again, but with a fresh loaf it could be pilchard + lettuce sarnie
