The weather here has swung between warm and sunny and torrential rain and we have just had a loud overhead clap of thunder that scared the bejesus out of both myself and his lordship 🙀

Typical Monday at work although we got to finish almost on time, mainly because nothing was going right 🙄

A no cook day for me, lunch was LO from last night tabbouleh and chicken salad. Dinner was goat curry and rice with LO cauliflower

Same here, and the thunder but I wasn't 100% certain it was thunder when I first heard it, never saw any lightning though by then I had camera on standby.
More rain overnight & this morning, which means still too soggy to go pulling rhubarb

The 'fridge is starting to look a bit barren now but I'm holding off on line shopping until I really need a top up and there's plenty in the freezers

Lunch today, use beef paste sarnie
Dinner, some frozen RMFO, maybe curry or sweet & sour chicken, I seem to have bought a lot of those somehow

    Good morning everyone,
Another lovely day here and more laundry is almost ready to peg out (sorry JKS ;) ) I'm not sure where it all comes from!
It's really quite warm and I'll be heading to the shady area of the garden once I get a few chores done. I need to pot on some basil and couple of indoor tomatoes and no doubt there will be some dead heading needing done too. Apart from that I plan to be quite lazy and enjoy the good weather while it lasts.
Cheese salad wrap for lunch and JO's Bejewelled pork with rice & beans for dinner.
  • Still a bit damp and cold here so no pegging out! Busy day - that’s the problem with having a day off, will be playing catch up all week now 🙄

Made a batch of beetroot and goats cheese couscous yesterday so some of that in a lunchbox today. Made a quick pork and mange tout Thai red curry and noodles tonight. I’ve just had a few strawberries with a cuppa 😀

Damp day here as well with occasional rain ☔️

Busy work day as usual but as the boss wanted to watch the football we finished on time for a change 🙂 I'm not a football fan but I was happy to close the laptop, I did watch the last 20 minutes

lunch was beef salad using the LO roast beef. Dinner was LO curry with AF jacket potato so easy meals today

    Good morning everyone,
Overcast this morning and a couple of degrees cooler but still very pleasant.
Friends that I've not seen, apart from virtually, since last year are popping by for a catch up shortly. I'm very much looking forward to seeing them "properly".  :)
Salady bits for lunch and cajun spiced chicken wings with sweet potatoes, corn cobs, roasted peppers and green beans for dinner.

I'd mixed up football kick off, so last night's dinner quick change and became a frozen pizza scoffed from armchair in front of TV while I lived 1966 all over again :D

Today is a dry day at last, quick prowl round the garden and pulled the rhubarb at last, now stewed & waiting a crumble topping, even a few more strawberries on the turn but found one mouldy with the rain :(

Made another loaf for today's lunch. Thinking of opening some corned beef to pop inside, with pickle I suspect
Then corned beef salad for dinner, I'll make some coleslaw to help it along then of course it will be rhubarb crumble & tinned custard to fill in any spaces :)

A better day weather wise 🙂 although I didn't go any further than the garden centre lunchtime for a birthday card.  They are closer than going to town, have a nice selection and free parking 😁 I know did buy one for my friend about a month ago but can't find it, I'll probably find it tomorrow 🙄

Whilst out I picked up a nice crusty bread roll in their small shop so had that with the last of the beef for lunch.  Dinner was a cheese and tomato pizza which was taking room up in the freezer, with extra veg added

  • Another office day so more of the beetroot and goat’s cheese couscous. Weather was quite nice so short walk when I got home.

Made smoked mackerel pilaf tonight, was yummy - must remember to make it more often. The evening has been spent watching the Murray match, quite the rollercoaster 🙃

    Good morning everyone,
I had my sister's pooch for his first sleepover - he slept through the night but on the bottom of my bed rather than in his bed!
Slightly overcast but warm here today, the wood for the new garden fence and gate has just arrived. My son hopes to get the work well underway over the weekend.
LO chicken wings & salad for lunch. Tonight we are having stuffed pasta with a chorizo & tomato sauce and garlic bread.
