Lovely sunny day here, pegging out done! Had to make the most of it as the rain moves in tonight for the rest of the week apparently 🙄

Weather and food were the highlights of a dull work day…

Lunch was filled pasta with sun dried tomatoes and avocado. Had meat free Monday and made mushroom stroganoff tonight, served with rice and green beans.

Another good evening of tennis 🤞

I fond memories of my older sisters making a mousse made with evaporated milk whisked with jelly, I think my eldest sister still makes it Christmas

I can relate to dull work days JKS we were busy as usual but not an exciting day although something landed on my desk 5pm so it was another 6pm finish  🙄

After all the talk of sardines lunch was sardines on toast 😁 I forgot I had LOs and took a rump steak from the freezer, I was going to cook something different but one of my sisters called and we talked for a hour.  So dinner was steak and chips

Wind & rain day now, an ideal pie day, certainly a zero salad day

With weather in mind lunch will be grilled cheese on toast + piccalilli
Dinner, I'll have a freezer rummage, don't think there's pies but maybe pasty or similar, having run out of spuds it's frozen chips regardless for the moment

I nearly placed my on line order but fresh carrots OOS in Asda so hanging on until restocked on line, daft but there you are, a first world problem

    Good morning everyone,
My new patio set has just arrived. Hopefully my son will get it checked and assembled during his lunch break. It's sunny here today and I'd quite like to try it out this afternoon.  :)
Feta and avocado salad for lunch. Ainsley Harriott's chilli & cheese meatballs with pasta for dinner.

ETA - It's assembled and I love it

Hopefully you'll get enough sun to enjoy the patio set Caronc  my colleague in Paris was complaining that it was July and they needed a umbrella I told her I was English I always carried one 😁 today was flitting between wet and sunny

lunch was half pack of quorn goujons brought before the first lock down and then I went off of them 🙄 i made a simple flat bread with flour and yogurt and had them with land cress brought from the farm shop as I haven't brought seeds this year

Dinner was LO vegetable chilli and rice, it had matured nicely in the fridge I would go so far as say better than when I cooked it 🙂

  • Very April showers like weather here too, although I did manage one outside meeting 🙃

Office, and therefore lunchbox, day today. I used one of those rice and quinoa pouches to make a salad - chickpeas, leftover chicken, dried apricots, cucumber, spring onion and parsley, dressed with olive oil and red wine vinegar.

Tonight was reheated slow roast beef, another meal that always tastes better second time round. Cooked fresh new potatoes and veg to go with.

Very dull outside with a stiff breeze, today I was thinking of going to Winchester but the rain has already reached Devon and expected there just about noon when I would be arriving, so I'm giving that a miss for the moment, IMO nothing worse than traipsing around in drizzle

Which changes my meal plans, lunch would've been out but now will be part baked baguette with cheese & salady filling
Dinner, yet again something from the freezer, it's starting to visibly go down now with nearly enough space to get some posh meat in

I have a package due sometime so that's a bit exciting, and a couple of strawberries to pick and that is about it for the day

    Good morning everyone,
Warm and trying to be sunny here today. I've a few chores needing done and then I intend to enjoy the garden.
A couple of cucumbers will be ready to pick come the weekend.   :)
Cheese, salad and crackers for lunch. Another Ainsley for dinner tonight - Joy soy lamb with ginger rice.

Absolutely exhausted tonight, been a long week already and had a particularly frustrating meeting this morning 🙄

Lunch was scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toasted bagel. Bit more of the leftover beef in a stir fry with baby corn, mangetout, mushroom, red pepper and noodles tonight. As usual, I’m now bored of beef so the rest has gone in the freezer…

Happy hump day, all downhill from here!

Shame your trip was rained off Farway.

Hopefully a better day tomorrow JKS  :)

My nephew caused a stir having his vaccine today, he passed out and fell off his chair 5 mins after it so is now sporting a black eye 🙄 he has low blood pressure and was told one of side effects of the Pfizer one can be a low BP.  It's not the first time he's preformed 😁 however at 25 he ignored his mother's advice and failed to mention it was a possibility just as well she was in the car outside. He was told he will have to have the second jab laying down :) As a teen he ended up in A&E following a incident in the orthodontist, it's not the passing out, it's the hitting the ground which causes the problem  😁  my sister being sympathetic took a picture to send me  :D

Scrambled egg for lunch as well but on toast.  Dinner was scampi and chips with veg so a cba dinner
