    Good morning everyone,
Yep Farway the queue made the news, makes a change from golf and storms which is when it usually gets mentioned! The media does like a few photos of the waves breaching the sea wall lol.
Glad you're okay after your 2nd jab Brambling, I get mine next weekend.
JKS I hope my pegging out is as successful as yours, I've got three loads out to road test my new whirlygig.  :) It is rather overcast today but it supposed to stay dry and I'm hoping the forecast is correct.
I'm trying to find my mojo to finish filling the greenhouse troughs, I think it will be a case of do a bit, rest and then do a bit more as my back and arms are rather achy after yesterday's efforts but I do want it finished so I can get on with the flower garden.
Piri piri chicken again for lunch with salad in a wrap then I'll probably freeze what's left after that. I popped the carcass and roasting juices with pot veg in the SC overnight and woke to rather gorgeous smelling this morning. I'll chill the stock overnight, take any fat off it then reduce and freeze. Naan pizza for dinner this evening.

Mission accomplished and my greenhouse is now stocked  , but oh my poor back and thighs after all the crouching on a low stool to fill the troughs and plant up. "Just" 16 tomato plants in there this year all different types and a lonely cucumber, I'd have liked a couple more cucumbers but had very poor germination and then left it too late to try again. That said apart from the greenhouse there are five baskets of cherry tomatoes under the deck roof and two that will stay in the conservatory so all being well I should have plenty and with a bit of luck enough to make some passata to freeze for the winter months.

I've had the same issues with cucumbers Caronc although I had 6 germinate (3 for my sister) they seem to have stayed about 2 inches tall and have two leaves. My sister was a bit 'what do I do with these' 😁

I seem to have a glut of eggs at them moment, there was obviously no need to buy a frozen in the farmers market 🙄 there lunch was poached eggs on toast.  Dinner was finishing up a pack of lurking orzo pasta to make a 'risotto' of bacon LO peri peri chicken and plenty of veg. I have LOs of LO which I'll probably have Wednesday dinner and find something for tomorrow

Glad it's not just me with cues Brambling though certainly the one that has taken for me is doing really well so I'm hoping it's productive.

What about the pegging out caronc?! Another lovely day here.

Ah, leftovers of leftovers Brambling - what would we do without them 😂

Made a lovely salad of griddled courgette and feta for lunch (I do like wfh). Dinner was the previously advertised egg fried rice with the leftover Chinese chicken and lots of veg. Made a batch of noodle salad while I was chopping stuff as I need some lunchbox lunches this week…

    Incredible meal tonight.
Blackened cauliflower steaks, sautéed courgettes and mushrooms and roasted tomatoes on the vine served on a bed/microwave pouch of red and black quinoa 😋

I can still taste the steakiness of the steak 😂😂

what prompted this culinary sensation? Simple 😃 I had someone else to cook for 🤷‍♀️😂

    Good morning everyone,
Yes the pegging out went well JKS - three loads dried, folded and put away.  :)
Lovely sounding meal 3sm, I hope your dinner guest(s) enjoyed it.  :)
Grey skies here today though dry so far. The weather is supposed to turn to rain tonight. I'd half hoped to maybe light the small bbq later to cook chicken skewers but they'll be fine in the oven if need be. My elder son and sister are coming for dinner. My son has a round of golf booked for 5pm and my sister invited herself as my nephew is "entertaining" his new gf and she wanted to make herself scarce for a few hours  ;) . I'm very stiff this morning after yesterday's greenhouse efforts so happy to have a housework and cooking day today.
Ham, cheese and pickle wrap for lunch. For dinner I'm making chicken & veg skewers, Lebanese style rice & lentils, yoghurt dip, salad and pitta. If I cba I might also make some hummus.

Hot & sunny here but a cooling breeze has appeared so quite pleasant now
I was up watering & tending the volunteer border this morning, with a cup of coffee and biscuits at break time
Co codamol with a fake ham & pickle sarnie for lunch
A salmon fillet out defrosting for dinner, it'll be that, fried in butter EVOO  with salad + boiled baby spuds, with last of the rhubarb crumble for pud

I agree, the blackened cauliflower sounds amazing 3secondmemory - any chance of sharing the recipe please? It’s funny what a difference it makes having someone to cook for isn’t it? I also find food cooked by someone else, no matter how simple, tastes so much better…

So, today was noodle salad lunchbox (eaten between meetings whilst helping someone with a task, one of those days). Big salad, new potatoes and the second slightly average RTC pork escalope thingy tonight…the salad and potatoes were good 😂
