    Good morning everyone,
Lol Brambling no he's not for hire, I want my list finished first! Sounds like a productive use of a pack of filo.
I hope all went well yesterday Farway
It's another scorcher here and I plan to make start on the hanging and wall baskets once the sun goes over a bit.
Mini bbq later, just burgers and corn cobs with salady bits on the side. I might make some potato salad but apart from that it's all from the SM including some "plastic" cheese for the burgers.  :)

'afternoon all, thanks for your best wishes.
Unfortunately they were in vain, the heart reset worked for about ten minutes then slipped back again, but it sort of worked in that my heart rate is now normal & not galloping, so some progress & keep taking the tablets, had to cancel my Olympics entry though, may not be fit enough by then ;)

The hospital meals were fine, no complaints, dinner was leek & spud soup, tuna salad, strawberry mousse, for breakfast it was with toast, marmalade & weetabix,  better than some of my CFO meals and without any washing up

It's very close & thunder could be around by the feel of it, which has made today's dinner easy choice
Lunch was grilled cheese, with pickle on toast
Dinner, salmon fillet out defrosting, pan fry in butter + EVOO and have with salad & HM chips, nice & simple

Glad you're safely home Farway, what a shame it didn't work as you'd hoped but at least it's a partial fix. :)

So back to the drawing board for you Farway 🙂 did you get rain earlier? My sister in the New Forest emailed and complained lunchtime that it was raining hard enough for her to have to bring the washing in.  It got dark here about 3ish but has stayed hot and dry

I seem to be playing catch up with the garden at the moment, runner beans and climbing purple French beans finally went in yesterday and lunchtime I removed the weed membrane and dug in a bag of manure at the back of the garden, a hot smelly job I was almost pleased to get back to work 😁

lunch was the last portion of hummus with carrot, cucumber and pepper. Dinner was a salad nicoise

Same here, skies darkened but nothing happened, and today it's back to sunshine after a dull start
I went to Post Office and then did a bit of planting in the volunteer plant pots, back home for lunch

Lunch was cheese with slice of raw onion sarnie
Dinner, too hot really, probably a frozen pizza

    Good evening everyone,
I woke up to rain this morning and although it more or less dried up it's been much cooler than of late. Yesterday I managed to get all the hanging and wall baskets planted up. I was going to make a start on the pots but my dodgy wrist/hand was protesting a bit I tackled a huge pile of ironing instead.
Lunch was a cheese & salami toastie and grapes. Tonight I'm CFO as my son is out with his Dad, I've defrosted some sausages and a tiger bread baton and a sausage sarnie with onions. mushrooms and mustard will be dinner.

Evening everyone. Back to CFO after a few days with my bubble, definitely picked the right days with the weather 🌞

Lunch when I got home yesterday was cheese salad sandwich. Dinner was a breaded pork escalope thing (RTC in Waitrose, very average) with salad and new potatoes - too hot for anything more creative. It did cool down a bit so managed to cut the very long grass and get rid of some of the weeds, garden had gone mad after all the rain followed by the mad heat...

Made a lunchbox chicken salad for today and then had spag bol tonight (bol from mum’s freezer, always get a food parcel ☺️), broccoli side to keep the green intake up!

Did a shop at Waitrose because they’d sent me some vouchers but gosh, I’d forgotten how expensive it is, even with a voucher 🙄

Another sunny day and my sister annoyed me by sending photos of her walking around Leonardslee gardens whilst I was carrying out training 🙂

I did manage a bit of gardening after work and ensured my green garden bin went out full for tomorrow collection.  I must remember to wear sleeves when gardening in the front as I react to something so a hour of weeding was followed by a half hour trying not to touch my arms 🙄

lunch was the last of a tin of tuna with salad,  dinner a HM burger (not bbq I was tempted to ask my neighbours to throw it on theirs 😁) with AF and salad

Bit of drizzle this morning, I'm just on the wet side of the weather front fringe it seems from the map, hope it dries a bit because like Brambling I have a green garden waste wheelie bin to trundle out for collection tomorrow due to bank holiday
Then I can think about cutting the very long grass, no point before if the bin's full, at least that's what I keep telling myself

Lunch, looking like chicken paste on toast, very exciting.
I opened the past last night because by the time dinner cam round I just didn't fancy it, so had toast & paste instead, hardly number one nutritional choice but it was easy & CFO
Dinner, undecided again, it won't be paste this time though, maybe frozen fish & HM AF chips?

    Good morning everyone,
You definitely chose the right week weather wise to have a break JKS  :)
Back to sunshine today after yesterday's rain. Tesco have not long delivered the shopping and I'm now enjoying a cuppa after stashing it. Gardening beckons for the rest of the day though a bit of book reading in the sunshine will no doubt feature.
Scotch egg and salad for lunch, dinner it tbc but probably fish and chips as apparently it's "National Fish & Chips" day!
