Blood test earlier today, actually it was set for this afternoon but somehow I got mixed up and arrived four hours early, luckily my surgery is a human sized one and not some monster practice and the receptionist on today is also a phlebotomist so she scrubbed up and jabbed me there & then to save me returning later.

You're lucky my surgery isn't big just 5 doctors two of which are part time but the last time I made a appointment which was before CV I was told four weeks wait unless I called first thing in the morning to try for a same day one which I didn't need and i know can mean 30 min wait in a queue before being interrogated questioned as to your urgency. I was lucky in that I got a cancellation by continuously checking online. None of the doctors in town do their own bloods any more it's a hour wait at the local small hospital which also has a minor injury dept with no doctors.

Work means food is a bit all over the place at the moment and a 8pm finish meant I was pass wanting to cook anything.  Lunch was some spinach and feta filo triangles AF from the freezer with salad, I must buy some more filo pastry next shop. Dinner was cheese on toast with some gammon

Up early to nice bright sunshine, which is set for the day so they say
Yesterday I had a promo e mail from Iceland, spend over £40 & get £8 off which suited me nicely because I was thinking of topping up the frozen RM MFOs, not only did I get eight pounds off I've also won some mystery sweets in a prize draw at checkout :)
The delivery is tomorrow morning, plenty of slots so could've been today but not really needed right now

Another ciabatta is in the Panny for lunch time sarnie, which I think may be salad based, possibly with some ham or maybe cheese
Dinner, use up time, last of the ham with salad and probably AF LO boiled spuds into chip like items

    Good morning everyone,
Dry, sunny and a good bit warmer here today. My son started laying the slabs yesterday evening and with a bit of luck the greenhouse will get moved at the weekend or early next week.  :)
Not long off the phone with Virgin Media with a call I initially thought was a scam but wasn't. They are upgrading their phone system to sit on the broadband network and switching the existing landline service off in April. An engineer is booked to switch mine on Tuesday but I suspect a lot folk may find themselves phoneless if VM don't up their game on their phone script!
Trying find some oomph to have a hoover and mop through, I think more tea is needed first. ;)
I'm trying out this recipe tonight Pepper & chicken jalfrezi traybake | Jamie Oliver recipes another from the "7 Ways" book.
Lunch will be a salad sandwich and some grapes.

Lovely sunny and even warm day here, have had washing out on the line, which always cheers me up ☺️

Also did a Joe Wicks workout this morning as I was starting to feel really sluggish, made me feel better and should sleep well tonight too.

Lunch was jacket spud with tuna and sweetcorn mayo and salad, tonight was use it up omelette (end of the gammon and some sad looking mushrooms plus cheese) served with sweet potato fries and baked beans.

Lovely sunny day here as well, I wish I thought to wash my bedding as I'm also a fan of line dried washing especially bedding.

lunchtime was spent listening to automated telephone systems, so many security questions and 'please listen' before a real person and she put me through to the wrong department where the *****y system kept being asking for a number I didn't have 🙄 so I hung up and back around I went and she did it again even when I told her not to 😡 I managed by putting in random numbers to speak to someone who couldn't help me because it was the wrong department but she did disappear for ten minutes and come back with a answer and a direct line for me to call in the morning as I had run out of lunch 🙄

lunch was a portion of HM chicken soup from the freezer and dinner spaghetti bolognese which was the last HM ready meals in the freezer. I think it will be eggs tomorrow 🤔

    Good morning everyone,
Back to dull and damp here today.
Tesco are due soon and I'm just hoping they bring everything they need for this https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/ric ... ousse-cake . We are heading to my sister's tomorrow to celebrate my elder son's 30th birthday (where did the years go?). She's hosting as we were supposed to go to hers on 23rd December and she had bought some rather expensive beef short rib that has languished in he freezer ever since. His actual birthday isn't to the following weekend but he has stuff arranged with his mates at the pub and my nephew couldn't get time off work so we are holding it a week early. I'm hoping the recipe works okay as long as the mousse sets it should be fine.
The JO jalfrezi traybake was very good and has definitely been added to the "make again" list. LO chicken in a wrap for lunch and dinner is tbc but likely to be "something" with AF oven chips or a baked spud

Dull here as well, but dry
My Iceland delivery arrived on time, only one sub, upwards though, 48 pack of Weetabix instead of 36 :) , same price :)
Just need to sort it out now, the frozen items are roughly poked in the freezer until later

Lunch, I'm very tempted to try one of the just delivered Iceland veggie burgers in a sarnie
Dinner, again may try a just delivered " Luxury" MFO  three for a tenner, mixed so could be curry or something else

    Evening all  :)

after another long week I'm looking forward to a long weekend with nothing planned other than grabbing lunch with my sister tomorrow when I drop off her plants, np plans made we'll play it by ear. I managed to get some admin sorted after a long phone call lunchtime so a item ticked off a long list

lunch was scrambled eggs on toast and dinner the last of the gammon with AF chips and veg. Next weeks hours should hopefully be a little shorter so I should be able to cook probably

    Good morning evereyone,
Overcast but dry and quite warm here today.
Most of the slabs have been laid and I need to clear out the greenhouse so it can get moved to it's new spot tomorrow.
BLT for lunch and then off to my sister's this evening. I'm hoping the mousse has set as it's supposed to!

'Morning all, warm & dry but a bit overcast, had my Covid swab earlier, very quick in & out with no need to leave the car
Food toady is unknown, Brambling's scrambled eggs sounds tempting for lunch, and I may crib again with the last of the gammon, AF HM chips and use up mushrooms for dinner
