Much better day than forecast here but as any plans for getting out and about had already been shelved, had a bit of a domestic goddess session and caught up on some overdue chores. I’ve also had a short walk to get some fresh air and done a bit of beautifying and a bit of work.
Lunch was avocado and scrambled eggs on toast, made roast chicken dinner tonight - was yummy, and lots of leftovers 😋0 -
Good morning everyone,
Sunny here this morning and no rain due today. That said the forecasted rain yesterday arrived as one brief but heavy shower mid-evening.
The shed/log store is still standing, building the pallet coffee table took the kids all day but it's looking rather good - just needs stained, a final quick sand and oiling now. My elder son and DIL-to-be were very pleased with their efforts and happy to follow my younger son's instructions.
A domestic morning is needed and this afternoon I hope to spend some time in the garden. I'm attempting to make Jamie Oliver's broccoli and cheese pierogis for dinner. LO steak with salad in a wrap for lunch.

Dry at the moment but not looking promising outside, and the forecast is the same all week, if it keeps dry I may squelch down the garden to check the on crumble potential of my rhubarbVery CFO + CBA today, toast & jam for breakfastLO bake it yourself baguette, I think with grated cheese & sliced LO fresh onion for lunchDinner, could be another four cheese pizza from the freezerEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

Did you pass on the hail, thunder, lightening and torrential rain Farway we went from sun shine to darkness after lunch and as we were chatting on a call to my manager 14 miles away it arrived over his head
back to sun shine now but I'm working until 8pm so will miss it
Yesterday was a busy work day 8am - 10.30pm with no breaks, grabbing a few minutes to get a sandwich or to find something to snack on. Supper was a bowl of cereal before i went to bed. Definitely a day where less chiefs would have meant a earlier finish
Food is still a little cba today, i had some of the Brighton Ewe cheese with crackers and salad for lunch (I enjoyedit and would buy it again although it wasn't very blue) Not sure what dinner will be I had a W8itrose free icecream 4.30pm and a banana, there is plenty of chicken LOs so I will find something quick to make maybe with veg and noodles. The chicken was a roast in the bag and although nice as a hot roast I found it a bit bland in a sandwich yesterday, could be the no added herbs, lemon, onion or seasoning which I usually add to or up a roast chicken

Not surprised food is cba with all those hours Brambling! Real sunshine and showers day here, managed a walk at the end of my working day and it did feel much milder 🌞
Lunch was falafels in a pitta with grated carrot (as I had no lettuce left), some houmous, cucumber and olives - one of my favourite sort of lunches. Nice and easy leftover roast dinner tonight. Still loads of chicken left...0 -
Gee whizz Brambling that was a long day, no wonder you CBA cooking.
My son had a bit of a stressful day, tech problems on his work's server slowing all the software packages down and he a couple deadlines. As soon as he finished he headed to the garden and is now taking his frustrations out on knocking down the old shed/log store. For something that look as though it would collapse if you looked at it the wrong way it's proving surprisingly sturdy!!
Pierogi are made ready to cook the filling tastes great and I'm hoping they don't split. Definitely in the "not too tricky but decidedly faffy" category.

Good morning everyone,
Bright and sunny here this morning. It's the first day the heating hasn't clicked on first thing.
I'm dog sitting today for my sister's adorable pooch. My son will take him out for a proper walk at lunchtime but apart from that he'll probably just snooze or "help" me with the chores.
Apart from the base the old shed/log store is no more, the garden now looks massive!
The pierogi worked well, a tad faffy but one I'll make again as they were delicious and didn't split! Another Jamie Oliver that we've not tried before for dinner this evening Crispy Golden Chicken https://tamronhallshow.com/blog/recipes ... ie-oliver/ . As well as the avocado sauce we'll have green beans and air fried sweet potato chips with it. LO pierogi for lunch.

Roast in bag chicken, I've found in my lock down online shopping adventures where watchwords include beggar & choosers that Asda do one as part of the 3 for a tenner or whatever offer, only small [ideal CFO size] and although not really in my normal ethical sphere [beggars / choosers applies] they are tasty, herbs added, as is waterIngredientsWhole Chicken (91%), Baste (9.1%) [Water, Baste Seasoning [Salt, Dextrose, Stabilisers (Triphosphates, Diphosphates, Polyphoshates)]], Spice and Bell Peppers Seasoning [Spices [Coriander, Black Pepper, Caraway], Salt, Onions, Red Bell Peppers, Green Bell Peppers]I managed to squelch down the garden yesterday and there is a rhubarb crumble waiting for me to pull it, some huge sticks with the rain
The gooseberries are not there yet but they are certainly swelling with the rain, as are the cherriesI finished up with a pizza last night, not healthy but CBA & tasty anywayToday I hope to do better, lunch probably cheese & salady sarnieDinner, W8rose posh chunky fish fingers, HM AF chips & LO beans I think, and if it doesn't tip down, rhubarb crumble + instant custard

Farway the chicken was a half price W8itrose offer £3 instead of £6 but I don't think I'll buy again unless it's YS or if I do I'll take it out of the bag and doctor it. I copied you today and pulled rhubarb between the rain (today it was a rinse and repeat of yesterday) and made a small crumble lunch time.Lunch was a chicken salad, I think I may freeze the rest. And dinner was eaten during a IT melt down which took out our new system for nearly three hours, incurring complaints from a lot of users specifically in the US 😬 so I ate half the crumble with custard and now cba to cook dinnerLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0

More early rain before the sun broke through, at least the gardeners among us can think of all that yummy goodness going into our rhubarb etcCompleted my on line order at Asda, due tomorrow AM, they seem to have overcome the out of stock items, except for hand wash but that's not a problem for me right nowBrambling, not a bad price for the YS chicken, the only chicken I ever had YS from W8rose was years ago and was "off" when I got it home
, &I've never bought a YS chicken from them since
Lunch today, use up stale bread toast with Asda Brussels pateDinner, I found a frozen beef & pancetta bolognaise [Sp?] in the freezer BB Oct 2020 so still young in CFO yearsThat plus rhubarb crumble & instant custard should I find a spaceEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0
