Much warmer today, bit dull but a big change from yesterday
Today's meals are going to be lazy ones, possibly toast & cheese spread for lunch
Dinner, could be beans on toast or frozen pizza, but rhubarb crumble + custard will feature

    Good morning everyone,
I hope the headache is fully gone this morning Brambling.
Milder but supposed to get quite stormy this afternoon.
Chicken recipe was very good though I'd add some hotter chilli if making again along with the pul biber.
LO chicken in a wrap for lunch. Roast belly pork, mash, veg and gravy for dinner.

Evening all it's been a nice day, just drizzling a little now

his lordship has been mousing tonight, I'm not sure who was more shocked me when I opened the door and the outside light came on to highlight his gift as he came trotting up the path or him when I slammed the door in his face 🙀 cat flap was also locked and I hung out the window cheering on the mouse as it tried to escape, unfortunately he did kill it in the end or it died of shock and he finally came in.  This is the reason I shut cats in at night, it's the first one since I brought him home when he caught 3 the first few months.

Lunch was a frittata using LO new potatoes and broccoli. Dinner was roast pork, W8itrose delivered a large joint last time when it was 25% off so I cut it in half and froze, each portion will do three meals.  Tonight I had pork, roast Jerusalem artichokes (forgotten in the fridge) roast fennel and chicory, carrots and braised celery . Plenty of LOs

Dull, warm & breezy out, not a day for garden pottering but could be ideal for sitting in my conservatory with a magazine & cuppa
Realised late yesterday i was about to run out of bread after I decided tinned spag on toast for dinner, so made another in the Panny for today's lunchtime sarnie
Lunch very likely LO roast beef, yep the joint's still hanging on :( , probably with horseradish if I can find it, mustard if not
Dinner, undecided but the freezer will play a large part in the choice, plus last of the LO rhubarb crumble + custard

    Good morning everyone,
The weather wasn't as wild as forecasted yesterday, windy rather than wet. It's the other way round this morning and tipping it down. My son made a good start on the garden refurb taking down a couple of fences and beginning to lift a slabbed area that's getting moved and will form the base of the relocated green house.
The roast pork belly was gorgeous, it was just a small piece so there's only a couple of thin slices leftover and they'll get used up for lunch.
Pasta with a spinach, broccoli and pesto sauce for dinner this evening.

Just the usual day at work we were on Teams from 9.30 - 6 although we did get a hour for lunch 😐 it's going to be a long week again as we are trying to push our system changes live this weekend, only a two years over run and it will be Wednesday before we know for sure   :s

It looks like my elderly friend will be sent home from hospital tomorrow, they wanted to do it today but I made her ask about a care package as I'm sure she's entitled to carers for up to six weeks free. I expected occupational health to do a home check but they just spoke to her and decided she would be ok and will send her home with a couple of aids and sold her some others. She will be difficult, she has already upset a neighbour who offered to buy milk and bread by saying she only ate the one kind of bread from W8itrose and they couldn't buy it today as it's wouldn't be fresh as it's Monday 🙄

lunch thanks to an idea from JKS was smoked mackerel pate, I had some peppered smoked mackerel in the freezer and added a dollop of horseradish when I made it, plenty left.  Dinner was LO pork with Singapore noodles and LO broccoli

    Good evening

MIA yesterday due to feeling awful after my first jab on Saturday 🙄. Managed scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toast for lunch before having to go back to bed for a couple of hours. Got up and made a very simple roast dinner (small pork shoulder joint, roast new potatoes and carrots, steamed kale).

Think Brambling and I are becoming in sync with our menus...today was smoked mackerel pate for lunch and leftover roast pork tonight. Tomorrow night is frittata to use up new potatoes and kale plus I’ve made pork noodle salad for my lunch box 🤔

    Good morning everyone,
Hope you've recovered from the jab now JKS, I was meh for a few days after mine though feeling exhausted and had very painful joints rather than properly unwell.
Yikes - Must be the theme of the week on CFO, I bought some smoked mackerel to make pate this week! I haven't made it so far as too many LOs to use up. Won't be today either as there's LO pasta from last night for lunch and there's also some chicken and sweetcorn soup my son made yesterday also lurking!
Dry and trying to be sunny here today though looking at the sky I wouldn't be surprised if it poured. If it stays dry I hope to get some gardening done this afternoon.
Cajun spiced salmon and roast veg(sweet potatoes, peppers, red onion and broccoli) for dinner tonight.

Another mackerel pate here, but mine's still on the undelivered shopping list from when it was last mentioned
Dry & mild so did a bit of volunteer border tending this morning, everything is way behind with the cold & dry April, probably be moaning about constant rain any day now

Lunch, the very last of the LO roast beef + horseradish in a sarnie
Dinner, looking at the freezer again, pizza sounds likely

Looks like you started something with the smoked mackerel pate JKS 😁  hope you'll feeling better now, like Caronc I had painful joints for a couple of days and other than a really painful arm for nearly a week I was ok

Today has been a little stressful  I worked until 7pm although the last 10 mins we were moaning to the boss about over a year of unpaid overtime with the expectation of weekend work to come and no pay rise or bonus this year😐 lunch was spent trying to speak to the hospital and Age UK for my friend, as far as I can see online she is entitled to up to six weeks intermediate care if they send her home she seems to think they said no, but I think she asked about carers allowance which is a different thing.  For the time being they have moved her to another hospital which is closer and in the same county whilst a care package is sorted if it can't be she will have to stay there until she can look after herself.

It meant I missed the sun shine today, by 7pm it had greyed over  :(

lunch was more of the smoked mackerel pate, there's a little bit left.  Dinner was really cba AF LO new potatoes chipped with cold pork and pickle. It may be a strange lunch tomorrow a little pork LO and a little bit of pate 🙂 no one but the cat to see any strange combinations.  I've flapjack in the oven 🤫 as there is nothing sweet left in the house and I had all the ingredients, tomorrow will be another long day so I fear it will be needed.  I found the emergency chocolate hiding in the fridge use by June 2020  :s it tasted just like chocolate 😁
