  • Missed yesterday - that’s what two days in the office does for you. Yesterday’s lunch was tuna and sweetcorn pitta ( I wasn’t expecting to need a pack up) and last night was pork in mustard sauce from the freezer with mash and green veg.

Back in my home office today so did filled pasta with sweetcorn, tuna and sun dried tomatoes for lunch. Made the Waitrose CFO recipe for sweet potato and chorizo hash tonight, highly recommended 😋

I had toast for breakfast. I fancy some coffee so I will have to go out and buy some instant and some sugar later. I fancy chocolate too!

I have the last of the red lentil soup and I think I will have it with pasta or spaghetti like a bolognese sauce for lunch. It feels like I haven't eaten pasta in ages.

    Good morning everyone,
Boiler chap was here just before 9am to measure radiators etc. and the work should be done in the next few weeks.  :)
Definitely back to winter here today and the boiler chap said it was snowing lightly when he was coming over the moor on his way here! No snow here just lumpy rain but my it's chilly.
Tesco are due soon and then I'm not sure what I'll get up to once the groceries are put away. I was up much earlier than usual so a nap is on the cards after lunch.
I think lunch will be a cheese and ham toastie and dinner is tbc no doubt something quick from the freezer.

Dull & windy here today, finished to Enduring POA on line, surprised how simple it is TBH, needs printing off & collecting signatures of course
Given this colder weather I've got a posh FR pork leg steak out defrosting for tonight
Lunch, still on cheese sarnie variations, today's I think is with Branston pickle
Dinner, the FR pork, grilled, with steamed fresh broccoli, carrots, frozen beans, or maybe sprout and Aunty B's frozen roasties
Brambling round here they waived parking fees in some car parks for Covid jabs but like free parking on Sundays & BHs, not everyone knows that

Good news re the boiler Caronc  :)

Farway the local authority gave us free parking around the town during lock down one but haven't been so generous since  :) I couldn't get into the surgery carpark so was parked in the council one on the park.

Another fun day at work nearly done  :) I managed to bite my tongue during a meeting with my overseas colleagues and refrained from saying I told you this 18 months ago and I have it in writing :| now we can say we don't have time to do it so they will need to it, we weren't totally unhelpful we did send spreadsheets with thousands of lines of data for them to work from  :D

Lunch was early due to the above meeting which started 1.30pm so just a chicken salad using some cold chicken from the freezer.  Dinner will be LO spag bol probably on a jacket potato, the last portion has been put in the freezer.

  • A whole working week done, Brambling 😉 I needed a gin at the end of mine...oh well, only 3 days next week then a 4 day week after that!

At least I was at home today so enjoyed jacket spud with cheese and beans for lunch. Bacon, broccoli and blue cheese gnocchi tonight, washed down with a 🍷

    Happy weekend everyone

Blue sky & sun this morning and I've just realised it's Easter next weekend. I lose track with lock down and quite by coincidence my free trail Hello Fresh box arrives Easter Saturday, or should I say is scheduled to arrive?, not that I'm banking on it but it will at least give me something different that weekend as pre covid it would've been over Daughter's for Easter BBQ or something

Domestic accident yesterday prepping carrots, sliced bit off my thumb, not much but didn't half sting, and of course dripping blood, and now it's very awkward trying to do things without using left thumb and triggering more blood flow, not helped by being on anti coagulant to stop blood clotting, I know that's working anyway :'(

Meals today, another cheese based sarnie for lunch, maybe with tomato today? Exotic stuff
Dinner, just don't know but it'll be CBA quick N easy from freezer based items.
There is one small Asda meat pie that I'm fed up with seeing so could be that gone at long last
Tomorrow is W8rose delivery so have to amend my order as I no longer require cooking & olive oil which arrived OK from Iceland, I always think I've missed something off, like leaving home with "is the gas left on" feeling

    Good afternoon everyone,
    Ouch Farway that sounds painful!
We are having a real treat tonight (thanks sis)  of fresh lobster and prawns. I'll make a thermidor sauce and AF skinny fries to have with them. My son is going to bake some bread and with a salad it will be a fine meal.
The weather is still pants so I'm happy to have a day pottering in the kitchen.
    BLT for brunch.
