Update, lunch became a mug of YS Ainsley H's instant Stilton & broccoli soup, BBE 2017, it was OK given it's age, not that I've ever tasted a fresh one so who's to say?

I feel I should have known about scan shopping panel 🤔 good news about the free tablet Farway 🙂
Another dull day weather wise it looks like February will be as grey as January 🙄
nothing exciting foodwise here either 🙂 lunch was a mug of the vegetable soup i made yesterday with a couple of crackers with Brie. For dinner I made bubble and squeak with broccoli rather than cabbage which I had with cold beef and pickled red cabbageLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
Oh Brambling, shame about the dull day - I have seen the sun today and even got out in it at the end of my working day with a walk to run a couple of errands.Lunch was a creamy mushroom and Stilton concoction on a bagel (I have a distant memory of something similar served on brioche toast in a lovely French restaurant but it could have been a dream 🤨). Leftover roast dinner tonight, always tastes better somehow...2

Good morning everyone,
Heavy sleet here today and blooming perishing.
My son was surprised by how good the noodles with Spam were and had two portions despite being a tad sceptical when I suggested it. He had obviously forgotten I used to regularly make a less spicy version when he was a youngster.
This morning I want to fully strip my bed and turn my mattress, that should push up my Fitbit active minutes lol but apart from that it will be routine chores and some voluntary admin for the rest of the day.
HM turkey broth for lunch and pork schnitzel for dinner so a bit of therapeutic meat bashing later.

Dull but mild hereWent to Co-op for milk & salad bits but it was not a good, the only lettuce were tiny things but beggars & choosers, than after I'd unpacked back home I spotted three of the six pack tomatoes were manky & had to bin themMy fault that, I never even looked closely in the shop, I always have in the past but must have Covid lock down feverThen later I realised I had forgotten to buy a mobile PAYG top up voucher, which was one of the main reasons of going there, Doh!!!I was also getting some bit's for my neighbour with the broken leg, she wanted ciabatta rolls, which they hadWhich set me thinking and now there's a ciabatta loaf in the Panny, fingers crossed that turns out OKLunch was PB baguette with cheese & tom fillingDinner, not really hungry so if the ciabatta turns out well it could be a tinned meat + salady bits sarnieOr open tin of soup, cream of tomato, one of the 57 varietiesEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens1

Meat free Tuesday here. Made a courgette and halloumi bake (including leftovers 😉), served with garlic bread and salad. Lunch was jacket spud, cheese and beans between meetings. Did manage a quick walk at the end of the day before it started raining. Looking damp and grey for the rest of the week...2

And it's raining againOne bright bit, my "free" tablet arrived this morning, now on charge before I attempt anything clever with it, like using Wi-FiMy ciabatta turned out very well, and as I wasn't very hungry I just had a couple of slices of that for dinner yesterdayI'm still not very hungry, wonder if it's an after affect of my jab?Luckily I do have few excess ounces to spare so eating a bit less will fine fro the momentBreakfast was slice of my loaf, toasted with marmalade. It does make good toastLunch, probably more toasted ciabatta with something on itDinner, ditto I think, maybe scrambled eggs? Good morning everyone,
Dreich and double dreich here today with sleet, heavy rain and hail though no proper snow. I was just reading an article in the Guardian on winter bbqing and thought you've obviously never spent winter in the South West of Scotland !!
I've no plans for today apart from a few routine chores, salmon for dinner and I cooked extra baby spuds yesterday so just veg prep required later- the sofa and my kindle may beckon this afternoon. HM turkey broth for lunch, it's just the weather for it.

Busy day of meetings so personal pasta with salmon, green beans and the last bit of tender stem broccoli tonight. Freezer stash spicy carrot and lentil soup with a toasted pita bread and a sneaky lump of cheese for lunch.
Was dark by the time I finished so no fresh air today, must try harder tomorrow 🙄1
