I'm not sure if I want to BBQ and I live in the SE
it's probably warm enough at the moment just too wet
I hope you got you're tablet set up Farway
I found a package of gluten free soda bread mix BBF Nov 20 which my sister brought up I last year, She usually makes her own but brought a couple as CV standbys. It tasted kind, actually it was good for gluten free bread but I doubt if I would buy it as I also make my own, admittedly not gluten free. it went very well with my mug of veg soup lunchtime. Just add milk to a bag of dry ingredients, massage the bag and tip into a foil container and bake. Enough soup and bread left for tomorrow lunch

Gave me a shock last night when it started talking to me, with an English accent as well, and called me by my name which was a bit spooky at first
Another ciabatta in the Panny this morning so food today is more of that, sarnie & toastEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens1 -
Good morning everyone,
Farway - Yes very little connection with the "ordinary" world in some of the Guardian articles these days thought the BTL comments are always worth a read
CG - Oh I love Portpatrick, I'd be a happy bunny to be there now on a sunny day looking forward to a fishy lunch at The Crown and potter round the harbour. I'm further up in South Ayrshire, equally gorgeous coast but more populated which suits me fine as I'm a townie at heart.
Manky day here with snow forecast again for later. It's tipping it down with sleet just now, I'm hoping it eases a bit as need to do a bin run.
A productive morning so far with some voluntary admin done and the bathroom given a scrub. Time for a cuppa before hoovering and mopping through. Meal plan is sorted out so I can finalise tomorrow's grocery order later.
Brie and serrano ham toastie for lunch and tonight it's a HM RM in the form of Lamb Saag from the freezer.1 -
Oooh the Crown is our second home.We stay at our friend's holiday home just up the road from the PP hotel. Absolutely stunning views ❤❤
Have just made cauli leaf , potato n onion soup , n it's amazingly lush.Bunged the potato skins in the air fryer, with chilli n garlic flakes, n olive oil, n they're sooo good 😋😋"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Best laid plans...rained all afternoon so just did a ten minute walk round the block at the end of the day. Made a smoked mackerel pilau tonight from what was kicking around (grocery delivery day) 😉0

I'm sitting listening to torrential rain thinking I should get my gutters cleaned 🤔 it's been doing it on and off all day and working in my dining room which is half flat roof is annoying 🙄
My sister and my shared Iceland order was delivered this afternoon it was mainly hers and with a couple of no shows my £8 voucher covered my share 😁 hers is still cluttering up my kitchen and freezer 🙄
.
lunch was the last of my veg soup with toasted soda bread. Dinner was filleted chicken thighs and veg with a coconut and peanut sauce with noodles, with a small portion left for lunch tomorrow
