Brambling's "looking wet" was true, it's tipped down alreadyGood news on niece front, she's out of hospital and back home, younger ones bouncing back luckilyWhile on CV talk PN, I saw on local news Bournemouth / Poole area may go up to tier 2, and Hampshire may followFrom what I read that won't make any difference to our CFO lives, just have to stop the wild partying after 10 PMLast night's FB pie was as expected, nothing special of course. I've got a bit of LO mash now, always the way with CFO, something left to "use up"Lunch? Thinking of cheese & one of my HG apples, sort of ploughman style with a lettuce leaf etc, and maybe a pickled onion if I rememberI bought a large jar of Branston with my Morries shop so maybe a blob of thatThe bread is a tad stale, my HM loaf but will have to do, maybe toast it?Dinner, too far way to think about it, likely to be one of my MFO RMsEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens2

Good evening everyone,
Yikes PN I'd be frazzled I hate it when tech does weird stuff!
It's been another foul weather day, I'm sure there was sleet in the rain when I ventured to the bin! It's apparently to be worse tomorrow.
I spent most of the morning wrestling with Henry (hoover) and then mopping through. Lunch of HM spicy lentil & sweet potato soup & toast was late and then I had a lovely snooze, I was properly comfy until my phone rang and could have snoozed for longer! I don't think I'll be late in bed tonight.
FR pork chop with bubble & squeak for dinner.2 -
Good news re your niece Farway
I hope you're phone got sorted PN without the need for a replacement
unfortunately we lost my Uncle today, he was 96 so a good age but after 72years married it's not been easy for my aunt. I have had some really fond memories of him, the last 2 or 3 years he had dementia but he had a really dry sense of humour and always had a twinkle in his eye 🙂
lunch was scrambled egg on toast and dinner LO gammon and mushroom risotto

It's not a good time to die is it... so different from the usual awful time. More awfulness heaped thereupon. All the best to you and yours in the coming weeks.

Sorry to hear about your Uncle Brambling, your poor aunt. Are you fairly near by or miles away?Tipping down here, not a good day to traipse round phone shops PNAs a quick fix could you get a cheapo from somewhere like Asda / Tesco / Argos & swap the SIM over? Unless you are on 3 network of courseLike this maybe? https://www.argos.co.uk/product/4981558?clickSR=slp:term:sim free mobile phone:35:345:1 Would do for text from on line banking security and be handy as emergency "spare"Cracked on & made some cream of celery soup this morning, be ideal for lunch with this weather with my stale LO crustCould even stretch to dinner if nice & CBA enoughBut I do have LO beans & mash so could just add maybe Iceland cheapo fishcakes or whatever to them

I started early today, with two slices of toast/marg for breakfast.
Later, full of despondency and sodden from a 2.5 mile round trip in the rain/drizzle, I treated myself to a Mr T nuked frozen 69p lasagne.2 -
Rotten day you're having PN.Can you do internet banking on the PC? I do, Nationwide also has the send PIN to 'phone but can use a card reader thingy to generate a numberAt least the LL knows by now you are not likely to do a flit without paying the rent, unless you're dealing with bank robots of courseMy lunchtime celery soup was not the best, OK, but I've made better. I did crumble some Stilton into it while dishing up, which helped a bitDinner will be the LO mash, beans + Iceland fish cakes. It's the right weather for a steamed suet pud & custard, I think I'll pop a tinned one on my next shopping list, if they still make them of courseUpdate, just checked, yes still made, couple of 4sda own now in the trolleyMore bad news from Oop North [Oldham], my ex BIL now has Covid, positive result arrived this morning, presumably caught from his daughter [my niece],He is early 70s, feeling rough & at home isolatingOne can see how things escalate, his wife is also Nurse, goes out visiting, injecting etc.She is clear of CV but off work now, thus increasing the load on the rest and I guess some visits will not happen, it just spirals downwardsEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens3

What phone is it, PN? Mine is 13 years old and I just bought a new battery for it from eBay. £4.99 free p and p and it took me all of 1 minute to change old battery for new one. Old battery had lasted four and a half years. But, it is not a smart phone and am guessing yours is if you can do your banking on it. Why can't you do your banking on your main computer? Anyway, if you tell us the make and model may be someone here can you tell you how to get the back off, read the battery number off the battery and then you can order it off eBay. My new battery came the next day.
