Quiet day, trip to pick up food for his lordship this afternoon, not sure why I was sent vouchers for food which isn't sold in the shop which was a shame as £4 off for the packet. Then M&S for their small gammon joint if anyone is near to a M&S they're £4.50 for a 750g joint (45 mins in oven) this one has gone in the freezer, and I was able to get some frozen spinach which I couldn't get yesterday.
on the way back I stopped in at my sister for a cuppa and piece of HM brownie whilst we put the world to rights. I tried to persuade my nephew that as he would have a month off he could sort my herb garden, which needs deconstructed and weed suppressant put down under the gravel, he declined and my sister tells me he has first dibs for decorating which he also declined 🙂
lunch was the a omelette using some LO new potatoes and onions (omelette not frittata) for dinner I finally got round to cooking JOs chicken Kiev with two put in the freezer, very nice but just as well I'm social distancing 😁 served with the last of the LO potatoes chipped and LO veg from yesterday. Tomorrow I'll make some spinach and feta triangles for the freezer to use up the filo pastry.

'morning, very windy night and still blowing, but sun's peeking outI am yet again blocked in at the back [ooer missus

The grapefruit & plastic green house have toppled in the wind & blocked the back door.Over the next couple of days once wind drops I'll pop round and remove the obstructionNeighbour is off shopping this morning, offered to get "bits" for me, just bananas required as I'm well stocked this time round, plus I hope to do one last check on my volunteer border before lock down, so will browse the Co-op for a not critical lettuce, my W8rose delivery is next Monday but with lock down Version 2.0 I will probably need to amend the order prior to thatDuring the apple picking yesterday I picked my lone Golden Delicious, it's a young tree, pot grown, £8.99 from Lidl last June, so I restricted it to one fruitI'm eating it for lunch, with some cheese. Weighs in at 273 grammesDinner, I've defrosted a FR posh lamb steak.I'll grill that and have with "baby" boiled potatoes, and depending on how I feel could be with salad or steamed vegEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens3 -

Good afternoon everyone,
Fab looking apple Farwayyou could always bake Fat Rascals, lots of recipes online, until you get a chance to return to Yorkshire.
Hopefully lockdown might curb some of the super spreaders PN
Manky weather again here and kitchen chaos rules, I can see a few takeaways being bought as the week progresses! Lunch was a ham, cheese & tomato roll and tonight I've defrosted some turkey breast to make a quick Thai green curry with.3 -

Today I've had:
- 2 crumpets/marg.
- Beans on toast.
- A cold tin of rice pudding + jam
I'm demotivated really to do better. The ideal meal is something long-life that can be nuked inminutes. I could probably do with a frozen ready meal top up shop, but CBA to go out to be honest.
Freezer's currently got: fishcakes, curry/rice, chips, 2 hash browns.
I've lots to eat, that's random/unexciting...
Earlier today I got my cheese block from the kitchen and brought it up here and then cut it up/sliced it, then re-wrapped it into foil... that's to make it easier to use cheese as I just have to grab a foil wrapped portion to add to meals and don't have to think about taking a knife, getting the cheese out, what to cut it on, putting it away again, washing up the knife.Minimising time spent in the kitchen.
I MIGHT ... do a spagbol on toast in a bit. Somebody's in the kitchen at the moment though... have to see if I remember in a bit/whether I CBA to go and do that.
EDIT: Did the food thing. Three spuds, cut in half, topped with half a tin of spag bol and some cheese. 5+5+5+2+2 minutes.
Three others entered the kitchen while I was there.... one had something in the oven to retrieve and had walked off; one arrived home laden with shopping bags and then put their foodstuffs away in cupboards/fridge; third was just to access the utility so not wanting to use the kitchen immediately.
Overall it took me 20 minutes to nuke my food... that's too long a time ideally, need to be in/out quicker.
Housing: I think I just saw the bottom drop out of the market. Today's bookmarked search criteria (Town of choice, +/- 3 miles, all property types, all prices up to 10% more than my budget) showed 44 results.... but 26 of those were reductions. So only 18 actually new to the market. Most aren't what I want in any case, e.g. the unsuitable flat that dropped from £375k to £325k. Can't afford it, wouldn't want it.1 -
Am I right in thinking fat rascals are like defined rock cakes?
After this mornings drizzle we had a rare sight of a blue sky this afternoon 😁 with just a short hard shower about 4pm. I made the most of the nice weather and sorted out my mini greenhouse for the winter, adding ballast to the bottom hopefully it's enough to stop it blowing over again
lunch was a mug of HM tomato and veg soup from the freezer with a bagel. I worked until 6.30pm so dinner was a salmon and egg salad using some LO cooked salmon from the weekend with HM coleslaw and new potatoes.Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin2 -

Did an early morning run to Mr T, mainly for my baccy. I thought it's better to go now, pre-lockdown, 8am and stand a chance of being able to walk in/get/out... -v- queueing on Saturday for 2 hours while they let one in one out.
While in there I thought I'd get some ready meals - but the section was bare for some reason. I did get the 67p pizza and a 69p cheesecake + 2 tins of spagbol, 2x peas and a pack of crumpets - but forgot rice pudding as it's right at the far end, beyond the freezers, near the booze and crisps for some bizarre reason.
Bread was a fail. I've still got 6-8 slices here, so loathe to get a new loaf + all loaves were dated 7th November. Ditto flatbreads were all 7th. So I left it for now and just settled for crumpets.
Mr T's already changed the door you go in, baskets were absent, they'd built a "wall" of crates to separate people walking in/out, so I was disorientated/knocked sideways by that, so not in a mental state to be checking my list or looking round. Tobacco achieved, that was really the whole purpose.2 -
I've got a little dry cough..... I'm suspecting it's just a little cough .... I've washed my hands every time I've left my room, I've wiped things, I've not gone out meeting anybody for any reason..... I've distanced/danced round people here, in the shops and in the streets. I've been super careful, so bizarre I've even managed to find a little cough.
I did hear/notice a resident having a cough in the last 2-3 days (only heard it 3x) .... so if I have caught anything I'll blame her.
It'd not be fair if I "got it" would it.
EDIT: Lunch was a vacuum-packed garlic/coriander naan, spread with some jalapeno ketchup I bought from the OOD place 2-3 months ago + cheese and nuked.
I'll have to have that again at some point today/tomorrow now the bag's unsealed.2
