Bright sun after overnight rain, last pre lock down trip to the volunteer border, just checking.
Over to the Co-op, nil cucs on the shelf :( , one YS not too bad Iceberg lettuce and a very nice pack of vine ripened toms :) ,
Would've left them but with lock down & on line shopping a tom in the hand etc

Then onto chemist to enquire about my mystery "Prescription ready to collect" text
There was one item,, the Dr on Friday never mentioned it, maybe it was an afterthought after I'd left?
Turns out my leaving a mobile number with the chemist was a "Good idea" after all

Into Costcutter [now Premier] while there and found my dinner, YS RM MFO sweet & sour chicken with rice, plus on offer £1.29] bananas
    Quite a productive morning really

PN  I hope the cough is just a smoker's one, it would be very unfair indeed
That is where self isolation fails isn't it?
All the best intentions but shopping needs doing, no storage space for a stash, CFO means home delivery of take ways is daft prices
There must many all over the country in similar situation,
I seem to recall many students were in that situation until the TV cameras turned up to show the stupidity of rules that are impossible to adhere to and hence ignored

Lunch was anther HG apple + cheese
Dinner, the YS MFO RM sweet & sour + rice

Annoyingly today a bungalow I don't really want, at a price I can't quite afford, appeared on RM, but already sold.  It 'worries' me that if that agent had got the perfect place on their books I'd have missed it.... but you can't register with them all (and/or maybe I am listed with them).  I've done no viewings with them... I should give them a call.

The one I didn't want, but would've settled for at the right price, was £310k and on the main/through road.  It said refurbished, but what that actually meant was "we've been renting it out for years and have now splashed some neutral paint around, ripped out the carpets and put down some cheap laminate; we've left the old corner bath in and just rubbed a cloth over the kitchen" - which isn't really what I'd call refurbished :)  Even from the photos I could tell it wasn't a quality job.

It's a cough, with a tiny bit of sore throat and a tiny bit of sneeze/cold.  It's not worsening, so I expect it's on its way out now.... thank goodness.

Yes, shopping needs to be done, no storage for a stash (not got a 'family home' and all the size that includes) + the whole thing of minimum order values....  my way of shopping is to have the use of all shops to pop into each of them to get "the best/better version".   I like L1dl chips.  Mr T has cheapo ready meals for one + cheapo frozen cheesecake; 1celand has the best/biggest range of burgers and pizzas; 4ldi has the 2nd best burgers range; Sainsbobs for bags of 5 doughnuts; 4ldi for cheapo loo roll and bleach; £land for things I didn't expect + cig papers/tips + my favourite cheapo chocs; £land or Mr T for Doritos.  Mr T for cheap canned rice pudding and 25p paste pots.  4ldi or L1dl for cheapo instant coffee, but happy to get it in Mr T if I'm in there. Nothing listed here for 4sda as it's not a shop I visit often as it's poorly placed for me at present.

The ridiculous prices they set for student food packs was outrageous!  Those were high earning middle class Waitrose shopper prices!  I'd have said "No thanks" and just starved.... and I'm sure many had to.

@Brambling could you strap your mini greenhouse to some for added stability?
Unfortunately I don't think I can, I'm hoping between the weight in the bottom and a couple of pots wedged against it it will stay upright throughout the winter  :)

Another nice day unfortunately that means nothing when you're working except my mind wanders looking out of the window rather than listening on a call  :*  not paying attention meant his lordship sent two Skype messages to the team one just said [ the other ' he jumped on the table and collapsed on the keyboard which seems to be his preferred head rest 🙄 last week he sent a line of pp[ [ to them

I made some spinach, feta and pine nut triangles using the LO filo pastry and had a couple with salad for lunch, the rest were frozen.  Dinner was a jacket potato with prawn mayo and some salad.  It will be getting too cold for salad, Alexa (BBC weather girl not the electronic device 😁) says we could drop to below 0 tonight ❄️

Just knocked up a cheeky banana custard :)  I bought bananas the other week, I usually buy 3 at a time to make sure I get round to them.... I just had the final one lurking, so boiled the kettle and made up about half a pack of instant custard in a large mug and then sliced the banana in :)

Must remember to do that more often.... but buying custard powder is also on my To Do List, but it's becoming more scarce.  I used to be able to easily pick it up at L1dl/4ldi, but not seen it in either for many many months.  This pack was a Mr T pack.

    I can officially declare... I have a nasty/raw sore throat and a bit of a cold :(

    Bummer.

EDIT: Just been out to the car as I know that's where I keep my "misc first aid things", so they weren't in storage if I needed them.  I had in there plasters, but also: own brand Lemsips and Paracetamol and Ibuprofen.  The lemon things might be a little out of date, but they'd still be better than nothing.... I've two whole boxes, so plenty.

EDIT2: Food.... just made 2x toast and 3x scrambled eggs.  I figured I should make the effort as I'm under par and I was lucky that nobody else appeared in the kitchen while I was doing that.

Frosty but sunny, as forecast by BBC's Alexis.
Having seen her forecast last night I decided to start walking during lock down, not hiking or daft stuff, more ambling with a camera and take at least one photo a day, sort of photo diary now the weather's turning and garden pottering is not much of an option
Nice walk in the sun after breakfast, no target or place to go, just looking

Oh dear, at least you do have fake Lemsips, always seem to help me, any thing for sore throats? Honey maybe? Or throat sweeties maybe more your style?
I used to like Tunes, but I see Mr T has loads of choices, almost makes it worthwhile having a cold :D

Lunch, returning to the HG apple & cheese
Dinner, defrosted a FR 1/4 chicken breast, I may try it in the AF once I've checked for an easy / lazy method
I'll have it with boiled "baby" potatoes & same salad

I hope you're feeling better tonight PN 🙂

I reporting in late tonight having spending the evening with my sister and nephews as it's her birthday, we didn't go out and it was a nice easy dinner of pizza, salad and pie.  Good to catch up with my eldest nephew and his OH as well.  Youngest nephew is going back on furlough so he's not looking forward to that as he likes to keep busy, he works in a shop and said it was like Christmas Eve today

Just as well lunch was light fruit and yogurt

Still snotty, still got sore throat, but it's not worsened from yesterday.
Can't wear a mask if you're snotty and liable to do projectile sneezing with no warning.... it's just not comfortable/feasible/advisable ... and could end up being very embarrassing if you suddenly did a massive snotty sneeze :)

Also, if snotty/sneezy/unpleasant, one doesn't want to cross paths with others in a shared kitchen.

I had a cold tin of peas for supper.  From the tin, with a spoon, sitting in bed.  Living the dream.

Nice & sunny out for a morning amble after breakfast

It's a wonderful life PN, but glad the cold has not got worse
I guess cold peas are fine, beans I've had cold from tin and very convenient as well, almost a health food

Last night's AF FR chicken breast 1/4 was super. My first time in AF.
Normally I buy whole chicks and roast them, but this may convert me even though it is more expensive.
Used my food thermometer just to be sure it was cooked through because it was a very chunky meaty piece

Lunch, another HG apple + cheese
Dinner, having a change from salad, it's a Bisto MFO RM Shepherds' pie,
I'll have that with steamed fresh cabbage / carrots plus some as yet unknown frozen veg, could be green beans
