Tinned fruit with condensed milk reminds me of going to my Grandparents for dinner on a Sunday too.
I'm having LindaMC sausages in a wholemeal toastie with ketchup. I fancy some brown sauce so I might get my husband to buy some when he goes out.3 -
Love condensed milk. That stuff is like crack to me.

I remember someone recently (well before cv19 recent) pulling a face at me when I talked milk jelly, I don't think it's done now
we also use to make a mousse by whisking up jelly and a tin of evaporated milk, I think my eldest sister still makes it for family gatherings in the 70s it was considered posh
I've a long and probably expensive hair appointment booked for this afternoon so it seems typical that the rain is here to 🙄 rule of thumb is usually the more expensive the worst the weather so expect to hear of a hurricane over the south east about 4pm. At least no watering required when I get back
lunch will be a quick wrap before I leave I have smoked mackerel left but probably not a good idea before a hair appointment so probably cheese and coleslaw or salad. I've taken a pork chop from the freezer so will have with HG veg for dinner just not sure how to do the potatoes yet as I have both old and new in

Good afternoon
A milk/whisked jelly is gorgeous, for special occasions my Gran used to line a Charlotte mould with sponge fingers then fill with the jelly. It was decanted and topped with whirls of cream and strawberries or raspberries. It looked pretty impressive and also tasted great. 😁 I used to make a simple one when the boys were small but haven't had or made one in years.
After the most torrential rain and thunder overnight it's dryish now though for how long I don't know as the sky is still pretty dark. Earlier we popped to a local farm that has a shop to buy ayrshire spuds and bought a romenesco cauli, asparagus and some gorgeous looking strawberries while there. We are having roast belly pork for tomorrow so the veg will go nicely with that and we'll have the strawberries for pud. The smaller freezer is pretty much sorted out, there were a couple of UFOs and I was ruthless with the multitude of tiny tubs with splodges of stuff in them so it's looking much clearer now. I didn't find anything interesting I had forgotten about so dinner last night was shepherd's pie, beans and peas all from the freezer. I also found some bagels so lunch was a bagel filled with bacon and tomatoes. Tonight we're having chicken wings, corn cobettes, salad and a baked spud.5
