Popped out to the food warehouse. Bit annoyed as I took a wrong turning on the way there and on the way back :)
Got 24 bounty bars, tried one - they're closer to the original than the last version I tried....
Got 32x32g crisps, the hot pizza ones.
Also got 8 jars of jalapeno ketchup (because you can only buy a whole case + they were £2 for 8).
Also spotted something I had no idea what it is like.... Ashoka Dum Aloo.  This is "baby potatoes simmered in spicy tomato gravy".  Asda flog them £1.60 each https://groceries.asda.com/product/cooking-ingredients/ashoka-dum-aloo/910002433175  I just bought a case of 10 for £3, so 30p each.  I thought they'd go well with this endless rice I have to eat up :)  Going to have one for tea.  Mine are best before 30 April 2020.

I've left the crisps and the sauce in the car as it was far too hot and I am rubbish at carrying stuff, so just brought into the house the case of 10 Dum Aloo, 2 packs of crisps and 23 bounty bars.... that's why I have no desire to be in a 1st, 2nd, top floor flat at all.... with communal entry.  It's simply too cumbersome to be going in/out of doors and maybe lifts, or stairs, when you've 2-3 heavy items in the car.... especially if you've already had to lug it 100 yards from your garage/whatever.

EDIT: The sauce/potatoes is "passable"... I'd never rush to buy it again, but it's good enough to continue to use to get through the existing rice pouches.

I hope you enjoyed the crumble Farway

The courgette glut is continuing I grated a kilo of courgettes tonight  and made courgette and feta baked fritters for the freezer, big fat ones with loads of fresh herbs  :) I picked a couple tonight which I'll drop around to a friend tomorrow.  Unfortunately this year I seem to be reacting to the leaves and tonight I ended up sitting for a couple of hours with a wet cold flannel wrapped around my arm as I ended up with a painful rash with welts :s  I'm sure I have antihistamine cream somewhere, I must remember to wear long sleeves next time

lunch was a falafel, beetroot and salad wrap.  Dinner was the YS stuffed turkey breast  I brought at the weekend (the stuffing was a little salty but not too bad) with roast parsnips, runner and French beans and courgette 'chips' roasted with Parmesan and bread crumbs.  Enough turkey for a couple of lunches and LO beans with more picked tonight for the freezer

I left some frozen blueberries in the fridge last night so I just whizzed them up with some almond milk.

My husband forgot to take his Quorn nuggets and rolls out of the fridge this morning so I just ate the nuggets. Very CBA breakfast. :D

It was lovely, but I misjudged the crumble amount so it's only a thin lid, probably for the best. loads left, should see me through a few peckish days
If I had ice cream it would go well with the crumble, meanwhile it's Smart Price instant mix custard, yellow & sweet sums it up
Will it be courgette crumble at Brambling Hall? :D

Scorching day already, I started pruning my fruit trees but it was getting too hot for me. Nearly finished but enough for another day
Spotted more blackberries near my shed, wild ones, but very tasty

Lunch will be repeat of yesterday, PB baguette with tinned salmon, cuc & lettuce filling
Dinner, trying the extra special @sda bangers, with HM chips, fried eggs & baked beans.
Fingers crossed on the bangers with no mystery bits in side

    Good morning everyone,
Like the sound of your fritters Brambling, I'll be stashing that idea for when I get overwhelmed with courgettes!
Back to dreary rain here today. A friend is coming over for a very overdue catch up this afternoon. We had hoped to sit in the garden but thankfully indoors is now allowed  , I've been busy dusting and tidying so the living room at least is presentable!
Toastie for lunch and it's salmon, broccoli, green beans and Ayrshire spuds for dinner.

You can rely on the BBC to provide one Farway although not with custard and no sugar in the mix  :D  I've not reached this stage yet but you never know  ;)

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/veggie_crumble_28446

There are others out there but the 'crumble' tends to be breadcrumb and cheese

This is the recipe I was given Caronc I just tweaked it a little as you do  ;)  I only had half the breadcrumbs in the freezer and I used gram flour as I have some which needs using up and i mixed up the herbs a bit and added a chilli  :D

The most work came from squeezing out the water Caronc, now I'm wondering if I could have used a clean T towel

i need a hour lunch break or wait until Saturday to go back and buy my DW but I did buy a small chest freezer from A*gos today, it can't be delivered until the 5th August but at least it's done.  It's black and meant to be quiet so I'm hoping I can hide it in the dining room  :)  my sister doesn't understand the need for one but as I tried to explain the cheapest and easiest way to CFO is more freezer space especially as one of my drawers is full of HM RMs and I stuffed courgette based food in the last couple of day.  I didn't mention my plan to get a decent meat delivered  :)

i dropped 3 courgettes around to a friend after work, she asked for one I told her to share if she couldn't find a use for them. I had a courgette free day, ignoring the four in the fridge.

Lunch was a spicy prawn and salad wrap.  Dinner equally easy LO stuffed turkey breast and runner and French beans with HM chips.  The stuffing was less salty cold than it was hot
