    Good morning everyone,
My favourite crisps are ready salted but I like the sound of the olive oil ones.  I like the paprika and oregano crisps you get in France & Spain - Lays brand I think? Though apart from cheese & onion I can't think of a crisp I won't eat and prawn cocktail are IMHO the best for a crisp butty
It's dry for a change here today so the garden beckons and I've still some of the greenhouse to tame. This evening we are headed to my sister's for a very belated "Easter" gathering which obviously was postponed at the time.
Bacon and egg is planned for lunch.

Welcome back PN, mind if I join you scoffing the dark choc Bounty bars? They were my all time favourite and now I must have some
Just checked, @sda on offer 2 for a squid, and by chance I have a click & collect for tomorrow, I think my order may be amended :)
No doubt they have shrunk like most confectionery. I picked up a Penguin the other day, two bites & gone :(

Last night's dinner finished up as LO cold pasta because I was doing an online shop at W8rose, delivery next weekend which suits my time scale
Min order is £60 which does not suit that well, but W8rose sells stuff that is just not available from others, like decent bacon & sausages
Brambling, the posh fat fish fingers are on offer 3 packs for a tenner, helped bump up my basket total, and they is something I'll use

Lunch, I've two stale slices LO so looking like toast and ???
Dinner, still have some LO cold pasta, I'll use that up which will give fridge space for tomorrow's C & C

I had PB on toast for breakfast and then made some carrot and red lentil soup for lunch. It's obviously not soup weather but I just fancied it. I have leftovers in the fridge.

Oh yes, speaking of crisps, I also had some crisps. :)

It wasn't planned to be like this.  I have had a yearning for some 8-for-£1 cheapo choc ices.  You can get these at Mr T and at 1celand... I used to get them from 4ldi but they seemed to stop them by the end of 2018.  Anyway, having not had a choc ice for at least 2 years, today I thought was the day.  I'd looked in 1celand the other day but the slot was empty.

Trouble is, I had two food lists: Mr T bread/cucumber/jam/eggs & 1celand/choc ices.  Mr T does choc ices but it's 1 mile away and I didn't fancy their chances as I was walking there/back. Yes I have cool bags, lots of them, in many sizes... all in storage of course :0

So off I went... I was going to Mr T, have a look in case they had the £1-for-8 in stock... then swing by 1celand to take my chances. Trouble is, no hat - and the sun out there is just too much, so, half way along the road I decided to skip Mr T and just go for choc ices.... of course, the slot was empty. I was about to plod to Mr T (didn't fancy that) ... but ended up grabbing a £1 double cheeseburger deep pan pizza from 1celand.  So that's now in the oven :)

Of course, buying any food is "tricky".  To get into the kitchen you have to be wearing indoor shoes and have washed your hands... so I had to plod up the 31 steps to the top, change my shoes, wash my hands, then plod down to put the pizza in the oven... then plod up 31 stairs again. In 10 minutes' time I'll plod down the 31 steps, check it's all right, then plod back up the 31.... then, 10 minutes or so later plod down the 31 steps hoping it's ready to eat... else repeat one more time :)

Looking forward to this, can't remember the last time I had pizza; I'd guess my last one was an 1celand one last December.

EDIT: Well, I didn't plan to do that .... but I ate the lot.  My God it's tough eating a whole one, but I persevered.  In part, it was because I didn't fancy wrapping up 2 pieces (from 6) and going down the 31 steps to pop them in the fridge.  I know 3/6 pieces should be a portion, but I'd planned on busting a gut and eating four pieces :)    I'd added 3-4 thin slices of cheddar to the top too as the topping was mostly beef so looked a little sparse/short of cheese.
Oh well, it's done now.   Just peeked, 900 calories + the extra cheese :)

Thanks for the fish finger tip off Farway I didn't have time to go down when I was in town today but may venture down tomorrow.

I'm another dark chocolate bounty fan, you can keep the milk chocolate ones but I do like the occasional pack of cheese and onion crisps you can keep the pawn cocktail favour Caronc   :) I'm usually choose ready salted

I foolishly left the trip into town until after lunch when it was too hot, I didn't need much but wanted to look at dish washers again.  I picked up some herbs and spices in a small shop in town and made a quick trip to M&S as well, they have converted their quick tills to self service which was confusing people.  A couple of YS bargains, a stuffed turkey breast (feed 3) £2.50 instead of £7.50 and 2 packs of 2 corn fed chicken breasts £1 each rather than £4.60 each (400g in each pack) I left some on the shelf as well as a half price organic chicken which was still expensive and I've limited freezer room.  I felt mean afterwards as I could have picked some up for my sister but that would have meant being greedy in the shop.  I don't eat a lot of chicken breast but at 50p for corn fed ones I'll find a use.

The local electric shop only had two slimline DWs either end of the price scale, I'm not sure on Beko as a make but the Bosch were a lot more and I don't need WiFi and a timer on it - why would you need WiFi on a DW? They are hoping to have more in by the end of September. I'll do a little more research and see, their big advantages at the moment is free disconnect and connect with £15 removal

lunch was another  portion of courgette and rice filo pie with salad, dinner was some half price chilli and garlic prawns with new potatoes and salad.  Too hot to cook much, the prawns were kebabs so quickly grilled

@Brambling our DW is Bosch, but our freezer and WM are Beko we are really happy with them. The freezer is over 20 years old (insert eek emoji) and the WM is about 5 years old.

Just munched a pack of bacon.

@Pyxis    Interested as to what olive oil crisps taste of?  Are they not fairly bland?
I suppose it depends whether you want to be hit in the face by a synthetic flavour or not!
If you like the flavour of good quality olive oil, then you'll like these!
They are salted. (They describe that as pink Himalayan salt, but it's just salt as far as I'm concerned! )

No, the olive oil flavour is lovely! Plus the texture of the crisps is really good.

I just love  them. Because of the delivery slot rarity, I have sometimes bought other plain crisps from other supermarkets recently, including M&S ones, and they are nothing like as nice, so I won't bother again.

Raining here this morning. Didn't expect that.  I don't keep an eye on what the weather's going to do as a rule, but I had thought I'd read/overhead headlines of Scorcher and Hotter than Mexico.  Trouble with the press is they say things about weather but our national weather is very different quite often North/South.

Having scoffed the whole pizza yesterday I then nodded off for a couple of hours :)   Later on I had a noodle pot, then I had a couple of flatbreads across the evening, the 2nd one I filled with sliced cucumber (as I've one to use up).

Food today ... no idea.  It's later than I thought right now.  If it were, say, approaching 6am I might be thinking of rushing to Mr T's early doors (opens 6am) and getting a loaf/eggs etc... as it is... CBA.   If it'd been dry, too, and that time, I'd have then taken an early 4 mile or so walk to the beach/along the promenade... I might've even turned that into a 6 mile walk and gone into town/Wilko for something. Oh well.
