gt568 your 3 posts recently are imo disgusting. You have certainly put me off posting on a thread when the regulars think your comments are OK about a well thought of member. I sincerely hope your vile comments are wrong

Cool your jets, I was concerned that a regular had disappeared and not been heard from.  Thankfully she is now back.

    Good afternoon everyone,
Good to see you back PN, hopefully once you get your stuff sorted out and arranged how you like it.
With regards to 'odd' posts unless they break the rules I tend to ignore them.
AWOL yesterday as the day kind of disappeared on me after waking up to a non-flushing loo. The flushing thingy had broken and of course these are sealed unit parts these days so the whole innards need hauling out. Thankfully my son managed to replace the part and it's all ticket boo again 😁.
After sluggish start my courgette plants are rampaging and I picked a couple yesterday including a massive round one that had been hiding under a leaf. It's the size of a small galia melon!
For dinner last night my son cooked the fish fragrant pork again but for five of us this time. It was as good as before and there were no LOs.
I did something earlier I've literally not done for months, visited a shop! The fishmongers in town to be precise to buy a bag of their lovely scampi and some salmon for next week. It was strange to be out and about.
Lurking in my kitchen I now (temporarily) have a chest freezer. It was one my ex was going to get rid of but instead it is going to get stashed in my garage as it's pretty new and one of the boys will make use of it when they buy a place. However, the plan is to decant the contents of my big freezer into it so it can get a much needed and long overdue defrost! I'm just hoping it restarts again afterwards as it is well over 20 years old!
As we were out anyway we picked up a couple of Greggs steak bakes for lunch, my it was tasty. Not the healthiest of days though as we are having scampi and HM 'proper' chips (with salad and peas) or dinner.

is there much appearing on the housing market or just the same old stuff re-advertised?

Not much. At first a noticeable number of them were just old returnees that'd been removed in recent months, then made live again.  2-3 did actually put their prices UP.  Lots of reductions coming through on homes I don't want :)

There was one yesterday, which is an actual house and in one of my "not so keen, but it's not a bad place" list, so I certainly considered it, but it seems to be on a hotspot road for random car nuisance and breakins as it's on the route of "a criss cross of old victorian houses" between town and the scum estate, so they seem to use it as a rat run for their feral behaviours.

Ideally I'd like a particular type of flat where I am living now, but they're like hens teeth. Lots of flats that are towers in open/communal grass.  I want a little bit of GF converted mansion, with my own private door, private garden and clear parking (garage would be good; parking alongside my private entrance would be good).  Increasingly you can't rely on the good behaviour of other people... there are no manners any more, so I have to ensure that I don't encounter other people if at all possible.... I just want to come and go, without any fear that I'll have problems parking when I get back ... as for the garden, I want a little shed and to not find footballs bashing across some miniscule patio as somebody's decided to play footy on the communal lawns :)

Re bungalows, nothing that grabs.  They're still priced a bit high.  If one wanted a 3 bed family home, with 3 beds and bathroom upstairs, there are gazillions, some fabulous... if all you want is a "nice little place that's modern enough and has clear boundaries" it gets much harder.

As this is all about food, not all about me :) .... I will start by asking "who doesn't want 24 bounty bars?" - because I certainly do and I expect to be buying them tomorrow, along with 24 bags of Walkers' crisps (probably their hot pizza flavour)... I could walk out of there with 2 boxes as they do come in boxes and boxes would be handy for the storage unit, so I can justify it :)  Bounty 25p each (doubles), crisps are 32g packs and 21p/pack.  It's all from the Warehouse.

Today I've scoffed: A nuked rice pouch; a naan bread topped with a bit of cheese and 2 teaspoons of beans then nuked. A banana and an individual pack of Tangy Cheese Doritos.

I'm not a bounty bar fan, or anything involving desiccated coconut (except a Lee's snowball) so you can have my share PN 😉, I'll happily have some crisps though unless they're cheese and onion!
The scampi tonight was gorgeous, well worth the few pence per 100g more than anything the SM offers. We ended up making the chips in the AF as neither of us cba faffing about with hot oil. I par boiled them  and dried on a tea towel first before lightly coating with oil. They were lovely.

Nice to see you back, Pastures!

By the way, I'm sending you a PM.......about the Nice People.

My favourite crisps of all time are Olive Oil crisps. They are a Spanish brand called San Nicasio and so far I have only found them in Waitrose.

They are just luvvvvvvvvverly, and I can't eat other brands now as they just don't come close.
I prefer the plain ones, but they do a couple of other flavours too.
I'm afraid they aren't cheap, 😳, but they are soooooooo much nicer, that it's my treat!

Every Friday at 4pm they do a video round the warehouse, show what they've got... but it's a bit difficult to hear her really as she whizzes past some things, then spends time on stuff I'm not interested in. :)

These are dark chocolate bounty bars, but they've never been the same since they changed the chocolate about 10-15 years ago. They used to be my favourite, now not so much ... but at 25p for one pack containing two bars it'd be rude not to if one had the chance.

They are inundated with many crisps at the moment, but a lot of the stacks were Walkers "odd flavours I've never heard of". Googling and trying to remember what she was saying that I didn't quite catch, I think they have the Walkers Icons Ranges, looking at the page/list, I heard her say "Pizza Express Hot American Pizza", "Nandos Peri Peri Chicken", "Las Iguanas Chilli Con Carne", "Yo! Katsu Curry".  24 bags is a huge commitment if you choose poorly https://walkers.co.uk/crisps-range/taste-icons

In the end I've not gone.... it's a bit scorchio so traffic will be headed towards the beach.... clogging up the roads here.  To get there I'd have to be on their doorstep at 9am, then in, find/grab/pay and drive home.... by which time I'd be approaching the beach area at about 9.40 or so and god only knows if 10 people are headed that way or 10,000.  I've got Doritos, so I'll go get crisps and bounty Mon-Wed instead.  They won't sell out.

Just munched a pack of bacon.

@Pyxis    Interested as to what olive oil crisps taste of?  Are they not fairly bland?
