Don't forget to check the £1 section FARWAY! Greggs pasties are on 2 for a £1, as well as loads of other naughties, like jalapeno Primula cheese 😍😍
Oh dear, I was only thinking about sausage rolls yesterday, detours in virtual aisles to bargain bin area

Who'd have thought of this?? 🙄🙄🙄🙄
Amazing, what "hack" [loath & hate that word BTW] will they think of next? Jjust butter one slice in a sarnie? Add splosh of vinegar to rinse out residue of sauce?

    Good morning all,

Cooking for one or two continues here. It would be a nice change to share with someone who actually has an interest in food for a couple of days but at least the HT is easy to cater for. I don't meal plan because I don't know what I'll fancy eating until the actual day, but I do have a book with all of the items in the freezer listed according to which drawer they're in. I did have a chest freezer when we lived in our previous (much bigger) house but to be honest my mind couldn't cope with the chaos of just chucking everything in together. I have a tall freezer now, with drawers. It works much better.

Today is a mostly CF2 day. Toast for me and croissants for the HT for breakfast. Lunch will be cheesy beans and toast for both of us and sausages (from the butchers), hash browns and baked beans for dinner.

PN we always used to have salmon paste sandwiches when we went on days out as children. I used to put my salt and vinegar crisps on my sandwich to make the salmon paste more bearable.

I've had toast and marmite and three cups of tea today.

I'm waiting in an Iceland online queue at the moment.

All slots are fully booked! I have Tesco coming later anyway.

It's lovely and sunny still, but chilly.

I'm going to have a Wall's vegan sausage roll (if it arrives!) for my lunch.

I had the veg sausage roll, crisps and an apple.

I'm making roasted potatoes and onions with garlic asparagus tonight. Along with a chickpea salad with corn, cherry toms and cucumber.

Oh yes, I was going to make pickled onions too. I will do that now.

It's nice to have a fully stocked fridge and freezer again! There was only one item missing which was good. :)

Mmm, that looks a lovely loaf Caron. I can almost taste it from here, maybe with some marmalade on?
Sun remains out so wall baskets weeded & all ready for the french beans in a week or two

Oh, something for me to look forward to once I've decided what junk food to put in basket. Do you just have to sit around in a queue waiting or is go back & keep checking & hoping?
