I had a (lonely looking in the fridge where its been a few days) beef paste too, spread on the last few crackers, that was about 10am as I wanted some kind of 'nibble'. For lunch I had a beef stew/broth soup.
Main supermarket (B+M) shut today+tomorrow (they close Sunday if the following Monday is a Bank Holiday, at least this one does), had to resist temptation to go to corner shop for 'nibbles' as cupboard devoid of any biscuits or crisps of any description sadly. I'll manage till Tuesday when I have to go and do a normal shop anyway and visit a 'hole in the wall' too.

Have been given yesterday a NewGat corned beef tin too, I cannot honestly remember the last time I've had corned beef (must be donkeys years if ever, I must of done but cannot remember). Its a smallish tin so it won't be wasted as despite it being a bit salty I can mix any 'wastage' carefully for the Ferals as a bit of a treat, that is if I can't eat it.
Found a pack of Aunty Bess instant custard powder too I'd forgotten about but nothing to have with it, unless I plan on having it "as is" or plop a few mini choc-chip weetiebix into a bowl. Might not be as daft as it sounds.
Unsure on later foods, I still have a couple of Lentil soups to try at some point, I can see those being very much a "marmite" thing, either love or hate. :) Its either that or I open the "sat in cupboard for emergencies" small round tin of Princ Ham, but without anything sensible in the house to place it on, I'll reserve that a bit longer.

I don't tend to do anything for Easter anyway, so I'm not really missing much in that regard, although the more I think about it the more I would like a small bag of Mini-Eggs. Perhaps Tuesday. :)

    Happy Easter all  :)

Nelski you were right FR is free range :)

Farway you know as soon as you bin the bones the the peas will come out of hiding 🙄

Today I've done b****r all 😁 other than think about doing something and sitting in the garden.  I did also manage to fling my electronic kitchen scales across the kitchen and break them on the tile floor, I temporarily put them together but not sure how accurate they are reading and if moved they fall apart, so new ones ordered from am@zon which are due the end of the week which should save me from myself 🙃 I may risk then on Easter biscuits later 🤔

lunch was a small portion of LO chilli with the second half of the baguette I had yesterday toasted.  Dinner will be cold lamb, with the ratatouille I made yesterday and some chips made with new potatoes cooked yesterday which needed using.

I made a couple of scotch scotch eggs in the air fryer this morning and one was snacked on this afternoon the other will be lunch with salad tomorrow

If you're into nuking and got the ingredients handy, you can mix what's left with some mashed spuds, or use instant mash.  Mix together and nuke hot, serve with beans.

I've made a couple of tomato sandwiches with more of the bread and the punnet of mini plum tomatoes I bought last week.... just bread/tomatoes, I've no spread obviously.  I ate one straight away and the other I've wrapped in foil.  I used to love squashed tomato sandwiches mum'd make for any picnic/beach outing/swimming pool outing.... when the tomato juice soaks into the bread. Lovely :)  That 2nd sandwich might get eaten soon... or left... I can never tell.

I've been giving the Rocky bars a hammering. No idea how many were in the bag. I got them from the OOD warehouse and they were just big bags for £2, so probably 25 or so, but maybe 50.  Hang on I'll count what's left.... I must be half way through them by now.... ah, I've 22 left :)

Today's scoffathon, from memory, has been: Paste/tomato sandwich, 3-4 Rocky bars, 4 squares of chocolate, jam sandwich, 2 veg samosas, pack of Doritos, noodle pot, tomato sandwich. I think that's it, but it's so easy to forget something.... that's a lot... what a pig.

I'm not sure if this can be classified as desperate 🤔 but Easter biscuits were swapped for rock cakes which have been in my head for a while.

I had no idea such a thing as Easter Biscuits existed.... I've never done/got anything for Easter.  Years ago mum'd cook a turkey Xmas dinner on Easter Sunday.  We got easter eggs until we were about 12-13, then got maltesers one year, then 50p after that.  Not had an easter egg at Easter since the mid 1970s.

They're  basic currant or mixed fruit biscuits with added mixed spice.  If you have the cutters (which I don't) rabbit or chick shaped you can ice them with plain water icing but again i don't.  I was taught at primary school and not something my mum would have made

That's a good idea, thank you.
Alas there are no potato's until Tues/Wed , similar with veg too. No matter.

There is about a tablespoon or two at most of instant powdered mash left that's been sat in its tub for a week or so, not had an immediate use for it other than a tiny sprinkle to occasionally thicken soups up where needed, this as you know works much better (than I thought it would) as long as you are sparing with the mash powder.

I'd not heard of Easter Biscuits either! :) Note to self: grab a small bag of mini-eggs next time I spot them.
Bit too early to think about lunch prep here, its exceptionally likely to be Lentil Soup or Beef Broth though. :) Unless I have that lonely looking chicken noodle pot, but I've sort of reserved that for 'a quick snack if needed'

I picked up a "case" of it at the OOD warehouse :)  It's a Morries flavoured lot, probably 10-12 packs in all, probably paid £1 for that lot.  It seemed rude not to avail myself of it at that price.

Breakfast today is a Mr T's cheapo salmon paste + 2 baby plum tomatoes sandwich.  I made up a tomato sandwich and wrapped it in foil for later, to give the juice time to soak into the bread.  That's the end of the tomatoes and I've no more paste jars left.  This Mr T's cheapo one tastes all right.  The one the other day was Aldi beef, that was nice enough (smelt like cat food when I popped the lid), but the salmon from Mr T trumps it.
