Oh, something for me to look forward to once I've decided what junk food to put in basket. Do you just have to sit around in a queue waiting or is go back & keep checking & hoping?Wednesday2000 said:I'm waiting in an Iceland online queue at the moment.3 -
Lockdown food here was a lovely runny fried egg on toast for brekky should have been a dippy boiled egg and soldiers but the CBA kicked in for a 6 min wait
Tonight I have some bacon and mushroom carbonara planned from the tiny bit of spaghetti found at the back of the cupboard. Ill pad it out with some leeks and cabbage.......just call me Jamie4 -
Oh, how weird. After just moaning about Iceland on here I just got a text from Ocado saying they have given me two slots in the next 14 days as I'm such a good customer!
I just booked one for next Friday and then Friday after. Cool.2025 GOALS

Every time I redo the freezer audit Farway I wish for an app I could dictate to, definitely one of those jobs quicker and easier with two
I also swear that I'm going to update it as I go 🙄
I may have reminded my nephew this morning that I had some seeds for him and my sister that i'm growing courgettes and beans for her hereThere was no threats involved well I called it bartering
Beautiful HM Profiteroles swapped for future vegetables, they helped to make a 2 hour telephone conference less painful 😋 I also required a piece of flapjack which I haven't eaten yet
Lunch was some falafels from the freezer with raw baby spinach in a wrap, dinner will be the last of the Gloucester old spot sausages from the freezer, reduced of course from the W8itrose meat counterthey are quite big so two for dinner and one in a wrap for lunch tomorrow cold, with HM chips and LO ratatouille

I know you said you were unable to get to the supermarket Nelski, I wondered if you had seen this from Morrisons? It's only a short list 45 items but it does include pasta and flour it doesn't say that they will query if you come under the governments list of vulnerable people and provides a telephone number to call rather than trying to book a slot it's as well as the boxes they do

I am back .... if you don't mind .... have skimmed this month's posts to try to catch up.
The current situation is starting to trigger my mental health issues. The city centre where I live is like Stepford (Wives): masked faces and unnaturally orderly queues everywhere. On the plus side my chest is better with far fewer buses running up the street.
Started an inventory of the two freezers, the old one was supposed to be emptied and recycled. Stockpile of YS ready meals (recent), loads of fruit, YS meat, YS fish, much less/ mostly freezer-burned (FB) veggies, drawerful of stuff for the Ex.
Unplanned trip to the indoor market this afternoon; got a kilo of carrots, two bags of long red peppers, bag of chestnut mushrooms and 10kg(!) well-past-their best red onions. Spent hours sorting the onions, chucked a kilo/ chopped and froze a kilo, grating and freezing half the carrot, chopping and freezing the peppers.
Slow-cooked a Bolognese sauce (YS beef mince, FB chicken livers, red onion, carrot, FB celery, mixed peppers, mushrooms, garlic, tin tomatoes, red lentils, red wine, Bovril, ketchup, OOD pesto). Cat scarfed the blood and trimmings from the liver but still yelled at me.
Heated up a YS cheesey jacket potato to have with a portion of the Bolognese but not hungry by then, doh! Will probably make some into chilli con carne (+kidney beans, +sweetcorn) tomorrow.
