Have a early night Candy and hopefully you'll feel a little better in the morning 🤞 take care

PN I've no idea what to say, your LL certainly takes the biscuit, I won't  even say don't get stressed because I don't think that would be possible for anyone not to get stressed by the situation she sounds like a nightmare

Farway flowers or chocolate for your lovely neighbour when this is all over 🌷

it seems we had both snow and hail here yesterday afternoon but not over my house  😯 When I was on a call my colleague who lives about three miles away said they had hail and later on faceache a friend about three miles in the opposite direction was putting on videos of snow ❄️ We only had a couple of rain showers here.  Work kept us busy until 11pm last night and then we had to insist we were going to bed, they also seem to forget that  I live alone and when they broke for dinner someone else had cooked it for them 🙄. His lordship has no thumbs 🐾🙀. We were back working 8.30am this morning until 6pm, I really appreciate that I have a job where I can work from home and therefore I'll still get paid but if one more person asks me what I'm doing with all my extra time at home I may say something rude 😡.

I watched a bit of the news tonight and although I hate and fear the reason it was built you have to be really impressed at the speed they have created NHS Nightingale, the armed forces can certainly get things done

lunch was eaten around a really boring conference call so was a couple of slices of walnut and raisin bread toasted with marmalade and dinner LO pork stir fry with noodles

    Good evening everyone,
Words fail me re your LL PN :s
Hope you feel better tomorrow CG
No snow here, it was actually quite sunny but baltic unless you were on the move. I got a bit done outdoors but not as much as I hoped as I was freezing.
My son make a smashing stir fry with the lo chicken and lots of ginger and garlic. We had with steamed rice. It was really fresh and tasty and used up lots of random veg from the veg drawer.
I'm back on cooking duty tomorrow and making pasta with a broccoli, spinach and pesto sauce.

I'm really, really hungry now.  I've got plenty of edibles, but you still have to fancy it :)
I'm trying to force myself into making a list/route to go out and get food.... a loaf for jam sandwiches, samosas for immediate food .... and then I get a bit stuck.

When one could go to any shop and wander in, look around, come out with what you see/what you fancy, making a list was fine.  Now every shop is an unknown and a risk ... is it a special hour for some vulnerable group, will there be queues to get in/limited numbers in, if you go will they even have what you're after ... and no browsing.

Then there's the whole issue about how far and wide it's reasonable to drive to shop for food.  I shop in different shops for different items ... which isn't reasonable or sensible right now.

So then, which 2 shops do I pick, which direction do I head off to?  Hard one that.

So I'll probably end up, again, sitting here pondering these issues... until I talk myself out of it as "CBA".

I'm probably now slimmer than ever before.... definitely hour glass, definitely got all my ribs front and back.  I've not gone under 8 stone I doubt though.  If you look at obesity charts, for my height, I should be 7stone - 9.5stone.

I'll sit and drink coffee and smoke while I mull it all over. :)

10am: Landlady's just turned up.  She did a flying 5 minute visit yesterday at 4pm but has been out all night.

I heard heavy bags (shopping/food?) going down... wonder if she's going to cook stuff.  I hear wrappers rustling and kitchen sink water running.

    Washing machine is on.

EDIT1: 10.30 still about. Man at the door, a delivery driver... he'd come yesterday and I'd spoken to him as he was leaving, but the parcel had charges attached so I said "I don't want to get involved"... he said he'd got her mobile and she could re-arrange delivery, so that's what she's done.

Wonder if she'll s0d off back to bf's/if that's why she came today ... or if she's staying here some days again.   With the washing machine on I'm guessing she's staying.

EDIT2: 1pm. Looks like she's moved back in then ... well, here for now... she's bound to disappear again in the next 2-3 days and/or her bf turn up.

Oh dear PN, very unsettling for you and not much anyone can do to help at the moment. Fingers crossed anyway, meanwhile coffee & fags help
Another sunny day, today could be pea planting day now the cold wind has dropped. I think I'll sow a few more, my last trial of old seeds seems to have failed, not rotted but not germinated either

    Breakfast porridge
Lunch, destined to be cheese & HM chutney
Dinner, I took a rump steak out last night to defrost, bashed & marinading it this morning. Fry & scoff with HM AF chips + some salad for dinner
Maybe more of the apple crumble & custard later

Certainly will, but in the meantime if this goes on & on I'll be able to supply them with fresh apples & plums come summer
CG, take care, sounds a bit like CV but who knows?

Don't quote, will edit out the last bit

I had half a mind to go out for bread and stuff... but now I won't, today.

I don't function around "change and uncertainty", so, with the LL's abrupt reappearance on-site I now won't be going out today, perchance our paths will cross as I try to get out through my door .... and away up the drive.  With washing on the line outside my door, the LL is likely to be there checking it at any random moment and I don't want an interaction..... I'll lay low and quiet.

Hello all, our meals are a mix of cooking for one times two with the occasional day when our evening meals are the same. Yesterday the HT had petit pain and nutella for breakfast, cheese and ham toastie for lunch and mac'n'cheese with garlic dough balls for dinner. I had toast spread with peanut butter for breakfast, mushroom omelette for lunch and duck spring rolls (out of a box) with hoisin sauce for dinner.

I haven't been shopping since before we were told to stay in but I have somehow managed to get a delivery slot for the 7th of April. Goodness knows what will be delivered as things seem to go in and out of stock daily. Like PN I've thought about going out shopping but thinking about it is as far as it goes.

I'm using up the jam that I made last year on a scone (made by me) at supper time. I had the forethought to buy a bag of jam sugar on my last shopping expedition. The rhubarb is almost ready to pick and I have ginger too so I can make more if I need/want to. The HT is having home made brownies for supper with a packet of crisps. The crisps are probably the only thing that I stockpiled and that was unintentional. The last type that he asked for were only stocked in the huge Tesc0 that I don't go to very often and were on special offer. I bought lots on the grounds that I wasn't going back any time soon. Right conclusion, wrong reason.....

Take care all of you and PN, good to see you posting.

I'm going to have a burger with HM fries later.
