More sunshine, but a very cold wind. One plus with the recent weather and lock in, I've been out to look at the space station going over the last couple of nights, simple pleasures but as part of a generation that still looks upwards at aeroplanes I marvel at the achievement of it. It's at 1855 for 4 minutes tonight BTW, to the right of VenusMeanwhile back on Earth I've lugged out the SC and using YS BBE June 2019 defrosted mince, lurking at back of pantry chopped toms, OOD tin of cannelloni beans & OOD pack of chilli mix, tonight it's chill con carne. I may pop some dumplings in later 'cos I've no riceBreakfast, porridge. I'm getting low on that but I've corn flakes lurking for when it's goneLunch, use up last of the cucumber in a cheese & cuc sarnieDinner, see aboveGardening sort of continues, sowed a few more tomatoes as I may now be supplying neighbours with plantsSewage / surface water bill arrived, gob smacked, it's gone down nearly £7. Seems OFWAT found them fiddling and told them to drop prices. Good afternoon everyone,
Thanks for the PN update Farway
I've not watched any of the JO programmes yet Wednesday, I must add them to my "to watch" list.
It's dry though chilly here today, my son & I are going to get some fresh air & exercise gardening this afternoon. There's been lots of lawn mowing going on in the neighbourhood this morning so I think everyone's had the same idea.
Last night my son had a virtual curry with his Dad & brother while I ate mine and caught up on MasterChef from earlier in the week. Just a simple chicken tikka masala with spinach & peas added, some pakora and rice (him) and pitta (me) using up bits we had in. It was tasty. Then he had a virtual pub quiz with his mates so we've both managed a bit of "me time"! Tonight I've popped a couple of sirloin steaks out to defrost. He's offered cook again and I'm more than happy to let him. I'll cook Sunday dinner tomorrow. We've sorted out a vague meal plan for the week and should have enough essentials to cover us to Friday when I've a grocery order booked.

I've not received my water bill yet Farway the only letters I've had from them recently have been trying to sell me insurance 🙄 I'll wait with baited breath 😁
I walked into town today as there was still going to be food only stalls in the farmers market with 2 metre boundaries around them. I combined my daily walk with picking up a few bits there including a lovely walnut and raisin loaf (a rare treat from the artisan baker as it's expensive). I decided I didn't need to queue just for milk at M&S I've enough for a bit longer, I'll walk up to T Exp tomorrow. I picked up some mince and 'posh' sausages and dropped them off in my sister's porch for her, we then caught up on family gossip the required distance apart as she's a bit twitchy about getting too close because of my asthma.
Lunch was a couple of slices slices of the walnut and raisin bread and a hot cross bun also from the baker. Dinner was stir fried FR fillet of pork and vegetable with noodles
half the loaf and LO hot cross buns have been shoe horned into the freezer

More sunshine with cold wind. Would be ideal for hanging my washing out, I've a load in at the moment, but with my balance & wobbles negotiating the garden with a basket of wet washing is very likely asking for a tumble. My shopping arrived yesterday PM, courtesy of neighbour's Tesco worker daughter
I now have enough bread & milk to last a bit, plus huge lump of cheese.
Today's order is for salad items now I'm out of tomatoes & cucumber. I did have an e mail from W8rose saying they have set special delivery slots aside for over 70s but when I followed link all slots are full for ever. I have enough food in but thought I'd test the water anywayBreakfast usual porridge, I've put more oats on my Tesco list for today, fingers crossed or it's cornflakes shortlyLunch, fried egg sarnie with my new loafDinner, I've LO chilli CC from yesterday so I think I'll nuke a portion of thatEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens4 -
I got in my daily walk this morning and as you say Farway a cold wind this morning it wasn't so bad when it was behind me but walking into it made me wheeze. On the way back I went into T Exp for milk and OJ and felt I should be waving my inhaler around to reassure people that it's just asthma
Luckily no queue today there today as I wasn't going to bother otherwise, I now have enough fresh food and milk not to have to go back in for a few days, if I make porridge (which i got out of the habit of since working from home) I have a carton of long life almond milk i brought a couple of months ago i can use.
I'm meant to be working now but we are waiting for IT to complete the update and hand the system back to us to test.
Lunch was a couple of slices of walnut and raisin bread toasted with a newly brought jar of thick cut marmalade. Dinner will depend on what time I finish work, I have a couple of chicken thighs defrosting in the fridge so will either have a mini roast dinner with them or just have with some HM chips if i finish later than planned
We have just had a 'April' shower but the dark clouds over the back garden makes me think we have more to come, my manager who lives about 14 miles away reported a hail storm when we first logged on 30 minutes ago so it could be thatLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin5 -
Farway - my mum had the same with Sainsburys but did get one eventually.5

I had a smoothie for breakfast - soya milk, a banana, peanut butter and cocoa powder.
I was hungry about 12 and had a packet of crisps and a cup of tea.
I made roasted potato wedges and broccoli and I had some leftover kidney beans so I cooked them in chilli powder and BBQ sauce. I had it all with some Nando's peri-peri vegan mayonnaise.
I liked the chickpea curry I made last night. I have a leftover bowl in the fridge so that will be dinner.
I'm eating quite well on lockdown!
