Well there was no empty space reported this morning so I'm assuming that I actually have a brain
MRI was of the head and I did get sent into the tunnel for it, eyes tightly shut
I quickly realised that breathing in time with the machine was a bad idea as I almost hyperventilated
at least traffic wasn't too bad this morning even around the airport
The neighbours' cat will be glad to have his second home back Caronc now the interloper has been evicted
It was kind of your neighbour to offer grocery shopping Farway my elderly friend received a call from a care in the commodity team today to see if she needed anything as she should be SI (age and health) but she told them no as i have wonderful friends and neighbours, that was after complaining to me her neighbours hadn't got the bread she wanted although they had got everything else on her list (I'm not sure if they went shopping or they added items to a online shop for her) I told her she shouldn't be picky but it seems she would rather go without. I'm not sure if she was hinting that I went on the look out for it but I didn't take the bait
she was worried that she only had one bottle of wine left and she couldn't ask the neighbours to get that. I'm tempted to post a bottle of mine through her cat flap, but she would complain if she didn't like it so I told her she would need to repeat dry January....
Lunch was the last of the minestrone with toast and butter (i had a oh sod it moment) dinner will be also be sausages Caronc, I found a couple of Gloucester old spot sausages from W8itrose meat counter in the freezer, i have some LO cabbage so i may do mash and make colcannon or make some chips and save the cabbage for tomorrow as i have some mushrooms which would go well with sausage and chips. I'll have to see where the mood takes me when I get in the kitchen later, lunch was quite a big portion of soup so it may be something light to go with the sausages
Now you both have mentioned fish pate / paste i think I will make some with the smoked mackerel in the fridge and have it with toast for lunch tomorrow

Cf 1 times 2 again today.
Breakfast was peanut butter on toast for me, croissants for the HT. Lunch was cheese and ham toastie for him, egg on toast for me. Dinner was skinny meatballs and pasta with tomato and basil sauce for him and Asda mini duck rolls for me.
I'm trying to use up stuff in boxes first out of the freezer so that there's room to put things in if I batch cook hence the duck rolls. There's half a box of those left. I made cherry scones today, left two out and froze the other six in bags of two. I am so glad that I have the contents of my baking cupboard.
I miss PN as well Candy....4 -

I had a white bread sandwich with vegan bacon and mashed avocado this morning. Yummy.
I'm making a veggie burger, HM wedges and raw carrot sticks for dinner. I will probably eat the last of that pepper mustard. I wish I had bought more at the time.
I will have a spinach and banana smoothie and probably crisps too at some point.3 -
Good afternoon everyone,
Glad the mri went okay Brambling
How odd re the cauli CG I wonder where it went!!
Neighbour's cat and I are having a snuggle, I think I've been forgiven.
Housework this morning including giving the floors a very overdue mop. They were embarrassingly manky!
Said neighbours have given me their coalbunker as they no longer needed it. I was going to buy one this summer so I'm very pleased to receive it.
We had another virtual meal with the family again last night which was lovely. I might be sort of CFO tonight as my son might do the same with his dad. He's cooking but I've no idea what he's making and I suspect neither has he just now.
Lunch was a salami, smoked cheese and salad wrap with some grapes.

I've known her 30 years Farway and she's got more rude 'honest' as she's got older, I will call her out for being rude. I've known her to send people back with the wine they have brought for dinner because ' there's no way she would drink that' 🙄. I will say she's not all bad she just missed out on learning how to be polite she's the person I go with to watch the on screen showing of Met Opera
i had a scare this morning I was sitting at the table working and suddenly there was a man at the window😯, it seems my window cleaner is working, he always lets himself in the back gate as usually I'm at work, we waved through the window and as usual I'll pay him online. Unfortunately with the sun shining through it now makes the inside look really mucky, so that's a job for tomorrow as I working from 1pm Sunday 😐
Due to the CV we now all have to reply to a daily email from on high to advise our status, there's a drop down to select one ie working from company location, working from home, quarantine, ill etc the last one is hospitalised? We're a multinational company of approx 40000 so I understand why they're doing it but I've told my boss that I won't be taking my laptop in the ambulance 🤒😷
breakfast and lunch was back to front today, breakfast was a couple of mini crustlesss veggie quiches with cherry tomatoes and cucumber, lunch was cooked apple and strawberries with Greek yogurt. Before the madness I picked up some really cheap YS strawberries late in T Exp 25p a pack they had loads and I brought three, one I ate and the other two i froze so I used some of those with a couple of cooking apples.
Dinner was a small piece of frying steak from the freezer with runner beans, broccoli and onions fried with mushrooms and peppers. I made a cheese sauce to use up some milk (dated 25th) and some Christmas cheese, I put some over the broccoli and the rest I'll make cauliflower cheese for tomorrow (sorry Candy 😁)

Still no sign of PN? Am hoping it's just internet probs, n not illness that's keeping her away"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

I watched the Jamie Oliver show last night and I'm going to make his "corner shop curry" tonight. I have most of the ingredients in the cupboards like chickpeas, coconut milk, garam masala, chilli powder etc... and I have carrots and broccoli, but I'm missing onions. I will just make it with what I have and use up some cooked brown rice I have in the fridge as well.
I have had cold leftover pizza for breakfast.2025 GOALS
