Bye Bye YS decent gammon, posh streaky, choice of piccalilli, pickled onions, nice cheese on offer sometimes. No closure date yet, the staff have only just been told. Shame for them, I know some have been there for years and none conveniently near for them.
I wonder if the new large Lidl opening in town was the final nail?Although bereft I'll probably finish up in Marks for posh stuff although my everyday shopping is L's / Asda anyway so guess I'm part of the problem as I walked around W8rose last week, same as the week before and bought nothing, not even a TV mag or bunch of bananas2 -
Bad luck on your local Waitrose - my understanding from the end of last year was that they were looking to reduce their footprint by closing a small number of less profitable stores
Why am I in this handcart and where are we going ?2 -
Wednesday Ocado were doing the on line deliveries for W8itrose but stopped and went in with m&s instead. I tend not to visit the W8itrose where I live unless popping into the John Lewis next door or going to their wine bar for lunch, however there is a big one next to the office whose prices tend to match the local Sainsbobs (I told it's an expensive Sainsbobs but it's about the same price as my local one) They also do good YSs lunchtime
i think you're doing the right thing in ignoring this guy Wednesday, he's obviously trying to get a reaction from you
you may get some bargains when they close Farway
Turkey broth for lunch which matched the grey and drizzling day and I'm glad i made so much as it's lovely 🤤. Dinner jacket potato with cheese and HM coleslawLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin4 -
Definitely ignore the dodgy bloke WEDNESDAY !!
Got an ICELAND delivery yesterday, n thought they'd missed the baby bels out.Bon wouldn't settle , n eventually sniffed them out in the hall, where they'd fallen out of the bag! They're her faves"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

It's bl00dy raining. I'm not entirely sure if that's "again", or "still". *sighs*
I'm starving. Belly's making little noises.
Yesterday I powered my way through: 1 noodle pot, 1 apple, 1 30p bar of chocolate, 2 naan breads topped with cheese.3 -
Yeah, I just ignored him and he stopped.
I just had crumpets with jam and a cup of tea.2025 GOALS

Good afternoon everyone,
Cold and gray here today but at least it is dry (so far)! Windows remain manky as I spent most of the morning trying to fix a leak in my loo. Not sure if I have and it may well be a case of phoning the plumber tomorrow. I definitely need to get my act together and start getting quotes for a new bathroom. It was a horrible bendy job and I'm absolutely bushed now so other domestics will need to wait for another day.
Looks as though my sis, nephew and puss will be here until the middle of next week as another part of their renovations has been brought forward. At least after this the bulk of the work will be done for the time being and it's less disruptive for everyone if they just stay at mine rather than jumping back and forward.
CFO lunch today though of a mug of turkey broth with crackers and cheese. I've chicken thighs defrosted for tonight just need to decide what to do with them now......3 -
Rainy here as well, down the soggy bottom bit of the country todayInto town regardless, tons of loo rolls everywhere, no sign of shortages at all. I topped up my CFO emergency stock just in case there's a sudden run on loo rolls after all the scares. I noticed health shop had a "no sanitiser left" sign as i passed by, not that I wanted anyInto my doomed W8rose, I have a £40 voucher burning a hole in my pocket, the voucher is valid for over a year but the store will be gone in June. If I was boozing then a few bottles of hooch would soon use it up but I need to spend it ASAP now.Luckily there were two YS FR gammon joints, just right CFO size so I bought them and still have nearly £20 left on the voucher, a few more buys should solve it by JuneI popped one of the YS joints in the oven for tonight's dinner & froze the otherlunch was cheese & piccalilli sarnieDinner will be some of the YS ham, couple of eggs, mushrooms fried in butter, maybe a grilled tom? and some of the must use up frozen French FriesEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens3

I got chip shop chips on the way home from my CBT appointment. I got drenched as it was about an hours walk there and back. They were delicious.2025 GOALS
