However I did pop into Co-op, to buy stamps prior to price increase, and found Wagon Wheels on offer, 6 for a quid.
Lunch, fried egg sarnie + Wagon Wheel

My husband loves Wagon Wheels. I haven't had them in years.

Just reporting in on the loo roll front (or TR as it's referred to in the Un citadel) yesterday morning our local Waitrose was in a similar situation, the  Essential 16s were gone completely, but plenty of Essential 9s. Whatever comes in that purple packaging was also completely gone. Mind you it was reasonably early on a Monday so not the best time in terms of re-stocking. Weent in today, and almost back to normal (apart from parcetamol)

Why am I in this handcart and where are we going ?

I have had toast with Flora and a cup of tea. I am having a salted caramel green tea now. It feels cold today! I am wearing my new shawl wrapped around me and I have closed all the windows upstairs.

That is the first time I'm trying Flora, it's nice. They are all vegan now, I read.

Defrosted overnight a pack of L's YS diced lean steak [bbe Feb 2019]. Used it to make what I hope will be a scrumptious beef stew & dumpling, plus the LO veg from last night's dinner in true CFO fashion. Now cooking in a low oven, smell is not yet wafting out of kitchen
Yesterday's FR pork chop [oven cooked] & AB's frozen roast spuds in AF was tasty, goodness there was a lot of fat in the AB's frozen roasties, they worked just fine in the AF but TBH took just as long [appr 40 minutes] as bunging them in the gas oven, so in future I'll probably do that and cook as per the destructions. At least I tried them. Once I've used up the frozen ones I'll go back to normal but cook them in the AF
Lunch, CBA so it's going to be another fried egg sarnie + Wagon Wheel
Dinner, all being well, beef stew thingy + herby dumplings
That is the first time I'm trying Flora, it's nice. They are all vegan now, I read.
Although I'm not on restricted diet & use whatever spread, including butter, is around & on offer I've found Pure quite nice and often on offer.
I think I'd peer carefully at Flora pack ingredients otherwise why offer a dairy free version if all their marge is vegan anyway? Just saying :/

    Breakfast was a flatbread....
Just about to try the naked noodle firecracker chicken noodle pot... hope I like it, I bought 12. :)

At 6 for £1 it seemed daft not to, especially as I'd enjoyed the shanghai version so much.

Tesco flog them at 2 for £1. https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/297501903
EDIT: Well, that was nice!  Not as nice as the shanghai curry.  I'd certainly be willing to try more from the range (if spotted in the out of date warehouse at £1/6 ... wouldn't ever pay full RRP for one).

Flora goes completely vegan and removes dairy from their entire spread range | Metro News

I usually have the olive Pure marg but I think the Flora one is nicer.

I am about to have a vegan bacon sandwich, well a BLT, actually. :)

I was going out.  I'd been working up to this since yesterday, making my little round robin list.  I make a list of all the things I want/need, then fit as many as possible into one trip.  One item's reached 'critical' stage, to be purchased from £1land.  I used to live very close to a £1land and it was easy to drop in regularly... now it's a trip out.

BUT .... it's wet and cold out there.... and I've a bit of a sniffle.  So I've decided not to go out today, but to go tomorrow instead, when it'll be dry and I can include that critical item into a different route.  Instead of: £1land/social club today, I'll be doing £1land/storage tomorrow :) ... I need to double check that critical item, I might be able to make it stretch to Friday, then it'd be combined with my next outing.

MARG: Re all the marg discussion, I'm a cheapskate and always just went with L1dl Buttery stuff.... cheapest marg.  I don't wish to keep my marg in the fridge here, so I've not bought any marg/butter or similar since last year.

    Good afternoon
For once it's not raining and it's actually quite sunny. My the windows are manky so possibly a job for tomorrow if the weather holds. If he doesn't have college I'll rope my nephew into help in lieu of him bringing his own loo roll lol  ;).
LO ragu on toast for lunch and tonight I'm making us bangers and mash with savoy cabbage, mashed swede and onion gravy. It is supposed to drop below zero this evening so not quite time to drop the winter warmers food wise yet! The bangers are pork and haggis from my last meat order. If they are as good as their other sausages they should be tasty.  :)

Catastrophe, my W8rose is closing down :'( Bye Bye YS decent gammon, posh streaky, choice of piccalilli, pickled onions, nice cheese on offer sometimes. No closure date yet, the staff have only just been told. Shame for them, I know some have been there for years and none conveniently near for them.
I wonder if the new large Lidl opening in town was the final nail?
Although bereft I'll probably finish up in Marks for posh stuff although my everyday shopping is L's / Asda anyway so guess I'm part of the problem as I walked around W8rose last week, same as the week before and bought nothing, not even a TV mag or bunch of bananas

On a brighter note, the beef stew thing is smelling lovely, I've given it a stir and it's getting thick and ideal for floating some dumplings in later on

I went for a walk and fed the birds. I haven't done that for a few days now but the crows seemed to appreciate it, lol.

I had a veggie burger with salad and mustard and some roasted cauliflower when I got in.

I'm getting some flirty messages on a forum I recently joined. Well. they started flirty and got a bit more aggressive in tone as I ignored him. Idiot.

I don't want to bother reporting him but I will if he continues. Grr.
