Good spot on the W8rose pork Brambling, if it is anything like my FR pork you'll love it
In my Asda were huge ham lumps, nearly 1/4 pigs worth, just way too huge for one even cut up & frozen. W8rose had similar posh crackling ones half price, again too big for one. So no YS today
I was thirsty yesterday afternoon Wednesday after my steak bake (though the previous day's alcohol probably added to that:o) so I'm not surprised you were after a double sodium laden dose!
My poor nephew got absolutely soaked coming over this afternoon, thankfully the stove was already lit so we got him and his stuff dried off quite easily. My sis picked him up on her way home so at least he wasn't getting drenched again. We are just about there with his UCAS and RADA applications, it's been a bit of a slog but hopefully worth it in the long run.:)
Fish pie with spinach & peas for dinner, all from the freezer so minimal cooking or prep required:)0 -
I could get use to part time hours :rotfl: and quiet post Christmas roads
It was my managers birthday and he brought in Tunis cake, he tells me it's difficult to find these days, I'm not sure why anyone would want too  I had a very tiny taste and it's slightly better than I remembered but not a favourite of mine. I remember it has being dry with like a cooking chocolate on top but I suppose it could because we would buy a cheap one in the 70s?
Lunch was chicken and veg soup which was very tasty but did make my stomach gurgle all afternoon, unfortunately including when I was talking to the senior manager :rotfl:
Dinner was a nice sirloin steak on the bone, picked up YS before Christmas with air fried chips, asparagus, green beans and tenderstem broccoli
Caronc us aunties have our useswhen he gets in he can treat you to a large G&T or bottle of red

I'm building my "brownie points" for when he's rich and famous .......
Tunis cake as far as I can remember the best bit was the marzipan fruits on the top the rest was just boring.
Good plan :rotfl:
I will admit to stealing the marzipan fruits todayLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -

It did have a solid chocolate topping in the 60s. I think we had just one when I was growing up, as it was a luxury item really.

Having had the last two cheese/onion rolls for breakfast, I went out and was provided with a coffee and biscuit.
Once home/later I nuked a microwave rice, 4ldi mexican... which I ate with a teaspoon from the packet.
Kitchen reeks of rotten veggies; it turns my stomach to go in there. "She" is clearly not bothered, nor ashamed of the stink. It's day 3 of me noticing the smell... obviously doesn't do anything proper with old peelings, but lets them fester.
I also had 3 sweeties from my dwindling xmas chocs supply.0 -

It's still has a solid chocolate topping, it would have been a luxury item if we had it
Would emptying the kitchen bin help with the smell?Life shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin0 -
I once shared a house with three female students who had a habit of just dumping used crocks in the sink after filling it with hot soapy water and just !!!!!!ing off. Eventually, I just blitzed the entire kitchen and cleaned every single pot, pan & piece of cutlery. And as it all belonged to me I deposited it in my room for safe keeping. House relations hit an all time low after that...
Why am I in this handcart and where are we going ?0 -

I haven't eaten anything today, surprisingly I feel a bit full after yesterday's binge.:o:D
I was thirsty yesterday afternoon Wednesday after my steak bake (though the previous day's alcohol probably added to that:o) so I'm not surprised you were after a double sodium laden dose!
I had a veggie burger, a few chips and two packets of crisps and then we got a pizza takeaway after that!
I was feeling ill a couple of days ago and I didn't eat that much in two days so I made up for it yesterday!unrecordings wrote: »I once shared a house with three female students who had a habit of just dumping used crocks in the sink after filling it with hot soapy water and just !!!!!!ing off.
