Anyone else notice that Chase aren't paying the 4.1% on customer balance?  They're actually paying it on customer deposits......it doesn't specify that in the T&Cs that I can see, my other bank pays me interest on my balance, not what I've put in.  Am I missing something here?

That shouldn't be the case. What are your balance figures for January and the interest amount paid today?
  • I want to have a Santander Edge account with my partner for household bills etc. It has to be funded from a non Santander account, we bother have 123 accounts which we don’t want to close. Is there any other current account where I don’t have to pay in a monthly fee? All I want to do is transfer £500 a month into the Edge account, to satisfy the criteria, and transfer it out again later in the month.

Virtually every bank has a free option.

Chase might be a easy one to use.

Otherwise, Monzo, Starling or any of the high street banks..

I'm a tad confused, are you saying you only have accounts with Santander and no other bank/building society?.

Also you only have accounts that involve a pay in fee a month?

You can get current accounts pretty much everywhere that do not require a monthly pay in, so Lloyds, NatWest, TSB for example.

So get an account somewhere then you can transfer to and from the new account & Santander each month, easy.

Why do you want an Edge account in particular? Why do you need another non-Santander account to fund it when you already have 123 accounts with Santander?

Can anyone with a Nationwide current account confirm whether it's normal that Standing Orders are not shown in the 'View and cancel payments' section of the Android app on the day those Standing Orders are paid out?

That's what I'm seeing today and I've not noticed it before. If I log in to the website, they are still there.
  • I wanted to open a new Chase current account as a joint with my wife. No mention on MSE or on Chase's website of joint, but they don't do it. I had to go all all the way through the application (successful) to find that they don't do joint accounts. Bah.
