If a full switch and no issues on BOS side then within 48hrs you should not be able to view your BOS account online as it will have been closed.

That what has happened to my BOS full switch to existing NatWest account.

My experience with a BOS switch is the same as john1002. Once the account disappears off screen you should also see a letter in your BOS inbox showing a final statement and account closure confirmed.

My switch from BOS to NatWest completed this morning and I was able to go in and transfer a few pounds to another account successfully so everything seems to work. Much to my surprise, my BOS current account seems to have been left open with nothing in it which is great as I'll probably either put most of the money back into it as it pays 2% or use it to transfer in the future.
Your BOS account will disappear overnight tonight.

I also had the done and dusted e-mail this morning. I've already dealt with the £1500 paid in, so here's looking forward to the £125 bonus!

Check again tomorrow. This time last week my switch from Halifax to Natwest completed withmoney appearing in my Natwest account and texts from them to say it had completed successfully. The Halifax account was still there on online banking with zero balance for the rest of that day then was gone the next morning.

Couple of things with Nat West. Your account number does not appear on the debit card and you cannot view your DDs until AFTER first payment. I cant seem to make them appreciate that being able to view the DD BEFORE payment is very handy?
I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!

It is a pain not being online but it is very easy to get new DD details over the phone.
  • I'm not sure why you'd think it was after?...unless you somehow thought the 3 bullets in the T&Cs......were to be carried out in chronological order?

I'd be pretty annoyed if I had to switch first, and then send £1,500 before I was allowed online/mobile access to be able to get at it!

I have the account and the switch process is going through. I have access to it online/mobile. The switch date isn't for another 5 days or so.

Do I send the £1.5k now before the switch date, or wait until the switch is complete and then send the £1.5k

Whatever you want! Money being switched in counts (I have been assured)- as long as it has been by the deadline.....

You're making it more complicated than it is.

If you had to credit the £1,500 before the switch took place the incentive T&Cs would very clearly say so.

If you had to wait until after the switch had completed before paying in £1,500 the incentive T&Cs would clearly say so.

The incentive T&Cs say neither of those things. They simply say to pay in £1,500 before 16th March.

So pay it in tonight, next Sunday, a week on Friday, or wait until the 15th March. Take your pick.
