OH had mentioned something about mashed potatoes in an email when I was at work yesterday. Stopped at Tesco on the way home but their freezers weren't working so no frozen mash available (yes, lazy!). In any case I knew we had a couple of bakers as well as a tin on new so thought no more about it. OH went all pouty when informed I hadn't bought anything so I suggested polenta instead. Net result - lovely venison sausages with polenta mash topped with fried onions!! Lush!!!

Hello all
Leftover roast chicken from last night. I’ll do it with the goldfish Chinese curry paste, peas, onions and rice:money::rotfl::T2 -
Got some pasta on the go with LO sauce and a slug of vino and balsamic vinegar.
Was going to have dough balls but wasn't sure of them past their date given my current situation (immune system doesn't need anything else to contend with) so whacked a garlic stick in the oven insteadFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I made a vegetarian moussaka and a thai green curry, one for tonight, one for tomorrow.
I will have the moussaka both nights.1 -

I can thoroughly recommend this way of roasting the sweet potatoes, it really does make them taste wonderful before you even get to the sauce. I hope you and yours enjoy the dish, goldfinches.2 -
Afternoon all
I had my second Pfizer vaccine today. I feel even worse after this one than my first
I’ve actually managed to make, well the components of a cottage pie. I’m awaiting on the mash to go cold before assembling

i really must get around to trying sweet potatoes one of these days!! then again do I really need another type of food that I like? my waist line says no!!!
chish and fips last night. but as we were a bit low on the chips I also cooked a couple of cauli hash browns and also had a bit of salad. OH kept stealing my tomatoes!!! (very nice rainbow coloured mini plum ones now sold loose at Lidl)
pasta tonight - we've 2 store bought sauces - one tomato chilli and also a 4 cheese one. given that the pasta is spaghetti (or slim linguine I didn't really look at the pack the OH bought) I think I'll go for the tomato one. Cheesey sauce always says fusilli to me. I shouldn't make garlic bread to go with it.....please no one twist my arm!!!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards.
