dinner last night turned out to be an M&S spatchcock chicken and curly fries and a salad.  OH has proposed seafood risotto for tonight but if I get asked one more time if that's what I'd really really want I may go for a very long drive instead.  How many times must I say some variation on yes?  "yes" "that's fine" "great!" "oh nice" etc etc etc
(just because once I said it wasn't my favourite as I prefer either a veg one or chicken livers) (and we have no parmesan so it will be very very mild) (oh and I don't think we have any wine to put in or have with it....disaster!!!)

@Brie have you got to the stage yet where 'yes' gets met with the reply 'well if you don't want that,  what do you want, it's not a restaurant you know' ?

@kerri_gt it's the "well I'm just checking, you know?" in a "I want you to be happy" kinda way which is highly annoying.

Sigh - I might have to do the ultimate reply and if asked again just answer with a kiss.  Oh woe is me!!!

I’ve made a filo pastry pie (probably a subliminal influence from Bake Off this week). It’s filled with salmon, prawns, shallots, mushrooms and spinach in a cream sauce.

It’s big enough for four large portions, so it will get finished off on Monday evening when I’ll want a quick and easy supper as I will have been at a (real life, face to face!) conference all day.

Fried up some LO rice with soy sauce, pak choi, sugar snap peas and petot pois. Chucked in an egg too.
    Had that with tempura chicken.

OH decided on beans on toast.

Was going to do fajitas but I'm still not up to doing that.

A roast chicken dinner for us tonight, then leftover chicken in all sorts of guises over the next couple of days.  I've made some rice pudding for desserts this week, as I had a surplus of milk to use up.

Just had risotto which has bacon, onion, peas, cheese, seasonings etc in it. I make enough for the following day. We will have that for lunch. It’s fiesta here in Spain tomorrow so no nursery for my daughter.
