Last time I did a great stake.

I was trying to think of a new way to present pork chops....not with mushrooms and cream and not with courgettes and peppers (with potatoes or rice or cous cous). Was beginning to think spinach or pak choy but OH claims toothache/migraine so likely we will have soup and cheese again or maybe an omelet.
I shall still go shopping on the assumption that the pork chops will be eaten over the next couple of days. We also got a smoked gammon from our meat guy so I'm thinking cauli cheese with that.
I also need to get sour cream as the fish guy had rollmops and I love them with sour cream. Wonder if I'll be allowed to eat it if OH actually does have a migraine.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. I sometimes do pork chops in the slow cooker on a bed of sliced onions and apples, with a mug of cider and a chicken stock cube for a bit of extra flavour.
Chinese for us tonight too, though I am cooking - no lovely takeaway for usI am making Chinese ginger beef with a bit of rice. I've made a dish of orange creme caramel for puds over the next couple of days.

Last night was HM celery soup (sounds incredibly yeuch but is actually delicious, and I'm not that fond of celery!) with part baked rolls and then HM apple and cherry crumble with flaked almonds and custard for pud.
Tonight DD has a sleepover so they're having supermarket pizzas, chips and ice cream. DH and I will have butternut squash curry.2
