    Quorn roast, boiled potatoes, brocolli, brussels & carrots with vegetable gravy.
    Is it anything like the Aldi plant roast?
    @kerri_gt I don't know as I've never tried Aldi's plant roast. What's that like?
    I bought it last xmas to try. Its was ok ( sorry not great description there) but tbh I'd rather have something totally different vs that trying to be like a meat roast but not.

    The stuffing in it was quite nice. Although i bought two, and gave one away on Olio.

    Linda McCartney sausages, roasties, sage and onion stuffing, sweetcorn (freezer clear out) and Brussels (freezer clear out for us tonight.

    Lunch will be a few leftovers - pasta and bean soup thing with some salad for adults and baby and non-vegan teen will have egg on toast with salad and fruit.
  • We are trying no-meat roast. So roast potatoes (in rapeseed oil), mixed veg (cauli, broc, sprouts, parsnips, carrots, cabbage etc) and the "meat" is a slab of stuffing I am going to cut into slices. Never done it before, hope it will be filling enough!

    I’ve made a chicken and vegetable puff pastry pie to have with mixed greens tonight (and tomorrow night).  Tiramisu for pud.

    @goldfinches race was really good, we had a herd of deer running next to us about 2k in which was amazing, a few did cross in front of some runners further up, and a very large stag stopped and had a good look at us all (prob wondering why we were running on 2 legs not 4 🤣). PB and based on the results I squeaked into the top 20% of finishers so I'm well happy with that (esp as Friday night I was seriously considering pulling out).

    Dinner out out with OH last night. Cocktails,  wine and three courses (he had monkfish and I had lemon sole). We were both stuffed.

    Will be something far more low key tonight.

    Veggie burritos (using Quorn mince and home grown tomatoes). Hoping they will be filling enough on their own as will be full of rice!

    OH had veggie chilli and I had breaded haddock, some LO mash and petit pois...another box from the fish out the freezer.

    OH also had a HM chip butty later too, chips and roll both out the freezer.

    Thinking I might make a sweet and sour in the week as have some pineapple, pepper and quorn in the freezer to use.
