Yesterday was Egg and Bacon Pilau (OH had bought some bacon from the butchers, so much nicer than SM stuff), tonight is HM bean burgers with sweet potato wedges and salad (one day I will have room in my freezer!)
May have fruit and icecream for pudding, see how I feel2024 Fashion on the Ration - 10/66 coupons used

I made fish and chips for DS and I (I had celeriac chips) as I wanted something that would tempt him to eat. He can taste OK but no sense of smell at all.
Made a cake for pudding-filled with cream and LC passion fruit curd and using coconut flour instead of normal flour.
Isolating side effect=lots of baking and Spring cleaning!2 -
We went out for a coffee and had a fruit scone with jam and cream, so the planned hot dogs for lunch, turned into dinner instead.2

@rachsecret glad that DS at least seems to be on the road to recovery.
Long day today, was up with the sparrows doing a car boot. Even though i was there for 7am I was one of the last to arrive. Will have to consider camping the night before next time
Anyway, dinner was egg and soldiers followed by Eton Mess. Largely because that's what I fancied and I cba standing up any more and cooking.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

I made these for dinner yesterday Red onion & chilli bhajis with mint & garlic raita recipe | BBC Good Food using up the last scrapings from a pot of chipotle paste instead of the chilli 'cause that was what I had and I'm trying to use up what I've got rather than buy anything else. I ate them with lettuce, watercress, parsley, coriander, radish, tomato and caper salad tossed in lemon juice and had coffee afterwards.
Then, this morning, I really fancied some bread so found a recipe that I had all the ingredients for and made this Quick Carrot And Walnut Bread Recipe - olivemagazine which came out beautifully.I ate it with butter and mature cheddar and washed it down with coffee.

Made these for both lunch and dinner today Syrian Falafel Recipe - olivemagazine and ate them with salad followed by coffee.
Nice, straightforward recipe but I ended up using a couple of spare egg yolks that were sitting in the fridge to bind the mixture together more firmly which made it a lot easier to shape and cook. They were very filling and just as nice cold too."She could squeeze a nickel until the buffalo pooped."

I made a roast, beef for husband, vegetarian sausage for me. Roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, carrots, cabbage, green beans, cauliflower and gravy. Made a crumble for afters. I enjoyed it today. Perhaps because we have had a lot of salad this past week.3
