kerri_gt said:Goldfinches those pies look very creative, well done on your first attempt, baking is all about tweaks and learning, I'm sure we've all had some disasters in our time and those are far from a disaster (I've seen worse on GBBO). No one gets on a bike for the first time and cycles the Tour de France. Glad to they tasted good..its all about the taste, no point in all style and no substance when it comes to food.1

Anyhow, I have now purchased new baking tins from both Robert Dyas and John Lewis as the Delia online ones were sold out. I also purchased more circular cutters and a silicon pastry brush too. I am determined to succeed and have used up a quarter of my homemade mincemeat already but think I may be within sight of achieving success (touch wood).
You are quite right when you say that taste is the thing but is it bad of me to admit that I would like to achieve a lovely appearance too?"She could squeeze a nickel until the buffalo pooped."

Daughter had a leftover curry with a nan bread and some roast potatoes and yorkshire puddings 🤷♂️. Doesn't like Sunday dinner apparently.
I had nut roast, husband had roast pork with roast potatoes, parsnips, kale, brussel sprouts, carrots, stuffing, yorkshire pudding and gravy.1
