Your your bakeathon sounds wonderful rach! I am craving a mince pie now.

Last night we were supposed to finish up the last of a bolognese pasta bake with garlic bread and salad, but we both got an overwhelming craving for a Chinese takeaway so we had that instead. We’ll finish up the pasta bake tonight.

    Rach your bakathon sounds amazing.
I made a 'use it up' casserole yesterday,  naturally made way too much and as it has beef in it, there's only me to eat it. Was supposed to be trying to make space in the freezer but I'm going to have to freeze some of this. 🤦‍♀️ also left it in a bit too long so   it went a bit mushy but hey ho.

We were going to have spag bol tonight however we have just ordered a breakfast sandwiches and no exaggeration they were massive, mine had three sausages in it, two spam and bacon. Therefore back to the drawing board re dinner. Something 'light'.
  • That looks lovely Rach! Your bake-a-thon puts me to shame, I made lemon shortbread yesterday and that was enough baking for me XD

Tonight we're having pork loin chops with roast potatoes, greens, and gravy.

  • Rachsecret, that looks amazing 😋

Sunday over here is once again ‘leftovers/trying to empty the freezer’ day, so pulled pork, rice, wraps made into tortilla chips, salad and sweetcorn. And more from the avocado mountain.

Love the presentation Rach, I'm going to use the idea of the sandwiches with crisps in the middle. ( I have also suggested to husband that we make some mince pies together next Saturday, then go for a walk and come back to a festive afternoon tea.
I would never have thought of it without your post yesterday, so a big thank you from me.

Today I'm having nut roast, roasted potatoes and veg, others are having steak with the same veg and potatoes.
  • I also loved the presentation Rach and thought the cherry flapjack looked particularly toothsome.
I really liked the idea of mincemeat bakewell tarts, any chance of a recipe?
I've started my mincemeat off this evening, shamefully late I know but it will be finished tomorrow afternoon so any suggestions welcome. I'm planning to bake for a socially distanced friends walk on this coming Wednesday afternoon and I'll try to take some photos of us enjoying al fresco mince pies to show you all.
For dinner this evening I had y/s peashoot stir fry from Marks with y/s roast sweet potatoes and then Sainsbury's cheesy jalapeno peppers which were sadly not as nice as previous year's stuffed jalapenos so shan't be buying those again. For afters I snacked on bramley's, raisins, sultanas, currants and flaked almonds while making the mincemeat.

    Rach that looks fabulous.
Last night (unsurprisingly) was some of the magic porridge pot of casserole.
Not sure what tonight will be - might hoik out something different from the freezer.
Sorry goldfincehes can't help on the mincemeat front as I don't particularly like it (nor mince pies, xmas cake or pudding ....xmas is a bit wasted on me  :D)

I inhaled a macdonalds on Saturday, first one since summer, June July time, I actually really enjoyed it but then I have been dieting so everything tastes better

Today the diet is being put to one side as I am having a festive xmas tray from the local caff, we obvs cant have a xmas party so this is it, turkey and stuffing roll with gravy pigs and blankets…. With chips yum!

Rest of the week, gammon steaks Bolognese and a baked potato night
