Had roasted aubergine (cause it was getting on a bit and got forgotten when I was making soup) topped with blackbean chilli with lime and salt pickled onions, fat free cottage cheese and coriander accompanied by salad made with rocket, white cabbage, iceberg lettuce, celery and spring onion dressed with Delia's almost vinaigrette. No room in tum for pud so apple carried over to tomorrow's elevenses.

Do you have a garage where you could plug in your slow cooker Kerrie?

Tonight I have minced up the leftovers from Sunday’s roast beef joint and made some pastry, so tonight (and tomorrow) we’ll be having minced beef, red onion and mushroom pie with mashed potatoes, green beans and gravy.
If that's in relation to the stock, i have the garage part but i don't have a slow cooker. I use my inherited le creuset casserole dish from DM (it's too heavy for her to use now) to make it in. It's my fav pan, older than me and volcanic orange. And a metal knob on the lid from the days before forgetting to use oven gloves was a consideration 🙈
Anyway,  i have the pot bubbling on the hob atm, OH not complaining, think he was just having a bad day before.
Tonight was some reheated LO roasties, OH had his with a Jamaican patty (i used to have these at uni and just remembered how yummy they are so bought a couple) and beans. I had mine with sliced pot roast beef and carrots with onion gravy.

Noodles with soy sauce, Quorn chicken broccoli and beansprouts. With no duck vegan spring rolls and sweet chilli dipping sauce.
  • The kids requested hot dogs, so they had those with wedges and sweetcorn. DH is back late, so I had spaghetti with chicken, mushrooms and broccoli in a cream sauce.
