We went for a long walk to Aldi and came home and had sausage butties.
Tonight daughter is going out, booked a table in a local pub for two hours which includes a tray of food and unlimited prosecco.
We thought about a takeaway for husband and I but will probably make a vegetarian biriani. (We went to aldi to buy some ingredients for it)3 -

Had a lovely lunch at our local Italian yesterday, both boys were defeated by the size of the pizzas (we had starters as well) so we ended up bringing almost a whole one home. So that will be their dinner tonight, I may do a few wedges too.DH is going to have leftover sweet and sour chicken, I’ll probably have noodles with a few gyoza from the freezer (my absolute favourite 😋).Books read 2023 - 49/752

Today we had a 'mini-Christmas dinner' as we are in tier 3 the restaurants are not open and so we planned this for one of our pre Christmas events. Bought a very small turkey and served it with roast potatoes (celeriac for me) red cabbage and apple with cinnamon (froze some to use on the big day too), stuffing, pigs in blankets, cauliflower, broccoli, peas, carrots, gravy. Had bought sprouts too but totally forgot to cook them so they will do for another meal with the ample amount of leftovers we have. Even had crackers and Christmas music playing whilst we dined and it was lovely x3

A mini Christmas dinner sounds lovely, Rach - what a great idea!We had roast beef, roast potatoes, yorkshires, cabbage from the garden, and gravy. Mandarin cheesecake for pud.2

Made double quantities of black bean and chipotle chilli so had a portion of that for dinner with the last of a packet of cous cous, sour cream, lime and salt pickled onions and coriander leaves.
Used a different brand of tinned chopped tomatoes for this batch and the end result tasted very similar but was much looser in consistency. Think I prefer the original but will wait to try the portions from the fridge and freezer before deciding overall.2 -
For some reason I'm having difficulty getting on to forum pages intermittently. Pages just won't load.
Anyway, last night was roast spuds, OH had his with vegan sausage roll and beans, i had some sliced beef from the pot roast i made the other night and carrots.
Think tonight might be a ping meal.
I also took a chicken carcass out of the freezer to make stock (will add another) however OH is now WFH as he's hurt his back (deff not a CV symptom) and hates the smell of it...so I'm a little stuck.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
