Cheap'n'cheerful bangers'n'mash for us tonight. (The 'n' always makes me think of Victoria Wood in Dinnerladies!)
It's a bit of a stodgy evening all round, as I have just whipped up a batch of pancakes for the freezer, to use up an egg glut, and we'll have one each filled with chocolate spread and sliced bananas for pud tonight.1 -
Lacking in inspiration and well the inclination to cook... However, I eventually decided upon chicken cooked in one of those Nando bags and micro pilau rice with some cabbage and spinach mixed in.1

@JIL good luck with your baking-let us know how you get on. It felt really rewarding to make our own and then eat it the next day. Would also have had a walk but it was throwing it down here and unfortunately I am a bit of a fair weather walker lol!
@goldfinches I made pastry and added orange zest which really made a difference and pimped up some shop bought mincemeat with cherries (bought a load of these in C0st-co), brandy and nuts. Frangipane Topping was made using the almond sponge recipe from Delia's Apple and Almond Bake pudding which is another gorgeous recipe I make.
For tonight's tea I had lasagne...another freezer amnesty item! Really trying to clear everything before my order comes on Sunday so I have plenty space in the freezer. Managed to get an A5da shop on Sunday and then a click and collect for the turkey and other luxury items (seeing it is just the three of us) from Booth's on the 23rd.

Yet more casserole tonight. Tomorrow is going to have to be something different after three nights in a row.
Put one portion in the feeezer (that i was trying to clear) and still have at least one, maybe two portions in the pot.
OH finished a box of vegan sausage rolls last night so thats a sliver of extra space.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

We had salad tonight. I had mine with baby potatoes, tuna and boiled egg.
Husband had his with chips, ham and pork pie.
Daughter moaned that we shouldn't be eating salad in winter and made herself some pasta. Not being good with portion sizes, she now has enough for the next two days lunches 🤣
I have ordered an afternoon tea server, I have always wanted one, so I'm hoping its here before Saturday.3 -
Thanks @rachsecret, I have various Delia books so will get searching tomorrow.
@JIL am looking forward to your photos of Saturday and your new display.
Have finished making the mincemeat and now have 4 500ml Kilner screwtop jars packed full of lusciously dark, fragrant, incredibly sticky results. I plan to use it for various bakes tomorrow and Weds morning.
For dinner I had another portion of the blackbean chilli with boiled, mashed butternut squash and brussels sprouts. I dolloped sour cream and chives and lime pickled onions on top and then squeezed half a lime over the lot.2 -

I am thinking possibly risotto from the freezer tonight - there's also some LO rice frozen so I might add that to bulk it out a little more (and use up something else from the freezer too). Actually there's a salmon fillet in there so if I get that out, I can use that too...win winFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

@goldfinches your mincemeat sounds lovely...you'll have to share your recipe so that I can go all out next year and make my own! Your tea sounds gorgeous too.
Tonight we are having roast chicken, a sausage, stuffing, celeriac dauphinoise, broccoli, brussel sprouts and runner beans1
