went to eat something I'd had waiting in fridge to just put in oven tonight. TBH i wasn't sure if it tasted fresh enough, and gave up after couple of mouthfuls. OH ate it, so prob just me being silly. Oh well. I had a southern fried chicken fillet sandwich instead.

Had portobello mushroom, green lentil, merlot, carrot, thyme and marmite stew with dumplings from a Good Housekeeping recipe I spotted last week that slotted beautifully into the meal plan. Came out delicious and the dumplings were much easier than I thought they'd be, I haven't made them for years and now can't believe I've been avoiding them all this time.  Had planned to eat up y/s mixed green salad too but didn't have space after the stew and polishing off the last 100ml of the merlot!

    Night all, goldfinches.
